First warning that this movie would suck: it stars Jenny McCarthy. Second warning: it's directed by her husband. Third and most important: it's written by Jenny McCarthy. Aaaghhh! Run away! Erin rented this anyway, though. It's pretty much trash, so if that's your bag, you might enjoy it. Basically Jenny's character gets dumped by her scumbag male model boyfriend, then goes through a series of worsening humiliations, until she finally realizes that her nice-guy friend and neighbor is the man of her dreams and they live happily ever after. Whatever. D

Bummer. I think Jenny can be pretty funny, when she manages to reign in her Man Show-pandering gross-out tendencies. She's like a more over-the-top Tea Leoni, which is probably saying something.

I guess I have to grudgingly admit she can be funny, but this movie features overwhelmingly more "Man Show-pandering gross-out" stuff than anything else. She gets vomited on, bleeds all over a grocery store, gets arrested and strip searched while wearing a giant maxi pad, etc. etc.

Oh, that just reeks of realism.
