dear WreckdoM, thank you ever so much for doing such a thorough job demolishing that song. i've never been a big cat stevens fan anyway, and i've always especially hated that song. (although not nearly as much as i hate 'moonshadow'). pretty much anything you did to it would have been an improvement, but this is actually worth listening to on its own merits as well.

oh, and roymond, i hope you don't take offense at my disparaging remarks, since it was your choice in the first place.

No problem there. I love this and I love smashing Cat Stevens as much as the next guy. I do like him a great deal, but that doesn't mean I don't love smashing him. But really, I've listened to this Wreckdom version a zillion times so far.

Glitch in the Matrix!

I was thinking about this myself, and was kinda hoping that getting screwed two years in a row wouldn't deter you from entering future GoM's.

Well, at least last year's entry was finally made too, even if it was late. I am sure the same will happen with this one...eventually...

ROCK!

Shit, how I loved that movie.
It'd be cool if they made two new sequels to it.
Like, different sequels.

It's gotta be coming soon Phil. Gotta be. Inconceivable that you'd get left out again.

Don't worry Phil, I trust that the person who has you will not let you down. They've already apologized for their tardiness. I'm more worried for other people than Phil.

personally, i think tards should be posted under a new list titled "the grift of music".

if you can't do a cover in 2 months time, you got no business participating.

If everybody can just manage to strum some G-B-D this weekend, I'll be satisfied.

I don't wanna cause a stink or anything. I know it can be tough.

Thanks, though, you guys!

I'm telling you guys don't worry about Phil. I don't wanna give away who is doing his cover but they've done previous GOMs, and I have faith they'll get it done. I'm a little more worried about Tonamel, Eddiebangs, Feldspar and Wreckdom as I haven't seen their giftgivers around in a couple of days. I'm gonna drop the slackers PMs and see what's going on.

OK then, I remain optimistic that my gift is forthcoming.

What on Earth happened to the Phunt crew? They've been noticably absent, not just from this project, but from the forums in general.

If WreckdoM gets officially "screwed", I'm all over the Puking Song.

I just heard from PYF and they've had some understandable difficulties they had to deal with. They assure me they'll come through.

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! THIS IS THE SINGLE GREATEST THING EVER!

Seriously, for about the last week or so I was actively hoping that Octothorpe would cover Jewish Princess. Not only did it happen, but I got a parody, and a freaking Star Wars parody no less.

It's like you've known me my whole life.

I can't begin to thank you enough. Trying to think of the words to describe the greatness of this recording has proven fruitless. So all I will say is...

ALL HAIL DARTH SPUD!!
