Can anyone point me in the direction of some freeware that might have a nice human vox plugin for all those nice choral ah's and oh's?

Something else you might try is using a sampler. Have your vocalist sing some ohs and ahs along with the vocal track and then edit out and save the good spots to load into a sampler. KvR has a few VSTi samplers for free.
