Oversleeping may be viewed as not exactly normal, but don't you try and label me a slacker. I do it all the time, so it's normal for me.

If all goes well The Anchors should be in for next week. "Don't You" looks pretty appealing.

Okay. I'm finally done writing Not Exactly Normal. I'm going to give the vocals a better shot at emotion, but I'm not even sure if I'm going to have time to record. Good luck to everyone going for next week's fights.

Due to the absence of half of our 2 man group The Anchors will have to wait until next week to submit a song.

Which half are you missing??
I'll fill in for them :D

oh yeah, and I think I'll be doing an instrumental for Oversleeping. I'm not very good with words when I've just woken up

I, the vocalist, am still here. I also play any instrument needed (we just sit around passing the guitar and bass to each other).

I think I'm in with a bluesy "Don't You". I just need to record it and add some extra layers to pump it up.

Just found song fight

Post by halen99 »

OK all I just found this site today. I only have a couple days but I am going to try to get a song in for next weeks fight. I read the thread that talks about instrumentals not being a good idea but I'm going to give it my best shot anyhow. If all goes well, I'm am looking forward to your reviews. :D

Instrumentals kick ass

Post by OriginalDankster »

Dont worry buddy, instrumentals are the shit.
Sometimes Iwonder...and I think, what if I werent so good at doing everything, that maybe just for one day I wouldn't be infinitely better than everyone else and I wouldn't have to hurt all your feelings.

If I can find a place to record vocals (sort of have the same problem as Glenn, except my neighbors aren't assholes; I don't record vocals in my apartment out of pure consideration to them. They work weird shifts. Also, the 'studio' I had before was actually one of my employer's shops, and I'm not employed any more, so, that sucks) I'll be in for 'Don't You'. If this happens, I'm terribly sorry for the rest of you, but don't even bother.

So I just finished Not Exactly Normal. It's a bit longer than my other ones (4:00), and a bit heavier, but I think it has a fair bit more variety to it than them ... I guess that's for you guys to decide though.

chocolate flavored penguin - will be entering it's first song fight. cfp is a two peice from milwaukee wisconsin. on this recording (which was done live btw) we used our normal delay/looping effects, some pitch bending, a cello, a guitar, some bass some random delay ridden singing... and ... i think that was it. this song will no doubt be about as unnormal as any on the fight... can't wait to hear what others did for this title....

stan (of chocolate flavored penguin)

stan = asperse btw... the other guy

mike addison is the one with all the talent.

I was going for an 'Oversleeping' but have changed my mind. I shall probably be in 'Not Exactly Normal' with a G&G thing. The beast is written but not recorded. like so many others.

welcome to Chocolate Flavoured Penguin... :)

I am in for "Oversleeping".

Which is fitting at the moment, because I am at work, and I feel drowsy.

ROCK!
