I take an old trip
Around a wiry bend
You and me
Sharing memories as old friends
Secrets I spill
'Cause there's more time to kill
Give me love love love
And that fleeting feeling so divine
And to think that it's all mine
All the time, oh oh
I take another bit
Another tiny hit
It goes right through my veins
And rises up again
Don't touch me except for my lips
All I need is this everlasting kiss
Inside, resonate to everywhere
Nowhere else to go
But what do they know
We've got each other
But they refuse to tell us so
A wasted life you claim hysterically
But the wasted one is really you not me
'Cause it's the truth I've found
In every shape and sound
And the clouds
And the clouds
And the clouds were touching the ground
You fake normality
Almost every day
You're legit
But it's me who's found my way
Bottles will fill
They'll only make you ill
Give you strength, strength, strength
And that fleeting meaning so divine
But I told you it's all mine
All the time, oh oh
I take another toke
Fear's what I fear the most
It goes right through my brain
And back to yours again
Don't reach inside, just fondle my hips
All I need is this new orgasmic bliss
Inside, releasing everywhere
Nowhere else to go
But what do they know
We've got each other
Through the haze, newfound clarity will show
A guilty mind, you atone desperately
Praying to God, a sudden death I could forsee
'Cause it's the truth I've found
In every shape and sound
And the clouds
And the clouds
And the clouds were touching the ground
And the clouds
And the clouds
And the clouds were touching the ground
Looking around
For this peace I've found
This numbness you get
'Cause you're not awakened yet
Why don't you take a trip
Disregard disharmony
Conflict confusion
Illuminate illusion
True health is restored again
On the wiry road that bends
Coercing to no trends
It's not too late to start, my friend
When your clouds
When your clouds
Settle down
Now complete
With your arms
Not on earth
But wrapped around
With your feet
With your feet
Never touching the ground

The Clouds Were Touching The Ground - Kill Me Sarah
When the end of the world came
They were stomping their feet
their fists clenched in the air
they were gnashing their teeth
When the end of the world came
a lot of them drowned
They thought they could swim
but the clouds were touching the ground
The day that the world ends
we'll be holding hands
without business suits or designer boots
we'll be barefoot in the sand
Leave the telephone off the hook
we don't need that ringing sound
It's the end of the world
little boys and little girls
so it's time to just get down
When that comet breaks the atmosphere
Or a cold war finally turns hot
When we finally step away from our desks
When the busses finally stop
When there's money lying in the streets
getting trampled on by crowds
You and me baby, we'll be dancing so high
it'll be like clouds are touching the ground
If the world ends tomorrow
and all that's left is today
then a lot of us may find ourselves
at a loss for things to say
We might say our "I love yous"
we could say our goodbyes
or we could just all stand together
singing "sha-la-la-la-la"
When the end of the world came
They were stomping their feet
their fists clenched in the air
they were gnashing their teeth
When the end of the world came
a lot of them drowned
They thought they could swim

Verses 1-3 are simultaneous:
Please hold me back; I can't take it.
This horror, I just can't shake it.
I act ouf of love,
but, heavens above!
Nobody's going to make it.
Fate, if you could, would you weave
a thread that allows me to leave
this duty behind,
so I and my mind
can finally find some reprieve?
As much as I like Ashok,
I cannot abide this joke.
Oh man, what a jerk!
A low-flying turk!
I feel the weight of his yoke.
Can't hold me back cuz I'm willing.
This madness I find so filling.
The folks in the street
are tender as meat,
and they're so ripe for the killing.
How delicious all of this seems.
My future, I love how it gleams.
Chaos approaches!
City of Roaches,
I'll tear you apart at the seams.
And though I despise Ashok,
I'm glad he pulled off this joke.
Oh man, what a kook!
A high-flying gook!
He's really a likable bloke.
Over dark levees,
sun pouring through early fog,
I walked and waited.
I marveled at this:
The City's nitty-gritty
hidden by dew.
The air was so wet
that clouds were touching the ground,
glazing The City.
Serenity's wings
rested gently on the minds
of the populace,
nestled snugly with
their free-range tongue depressors
and their sonic whizbang
doodles.
Time was ripe
to come a helling.
Yes, the tearing of the sky.
I lifted my feet out of the matter sea
and with my golden arm ripped whirlpools ‘cross the surface,
as eight-dimensional sunbeams glistened through eight-dimensional air,
so dense that nebulous bursts of Chaos were thickly seething against the ground.
I inhaled a tremendous entropic puff, whose unbridled forces burnt and tickled my throat,
and I shoved my beak down the mouth of a daughter of Charybdis and breathed unto Earth a windstorm fit for Ragnarök.
Please hold me back; I can't take it.

How does double-posting happen, anyway? These posts claim to be five minutes apart!

cwttg lyrics for TFTF
the pink sky bleeds to black
where the trees break the line of the sky
slowly like a bad dream
your shadow slides away from me
the note you left last night
on my pillow in my sleep
folded in my palm
choke my tears back as i read
i will meet you where the clouds
were touching the ground
i'll meet you where the clouds
the clouds were touching the ground
i dressed in black
when the night sky
mirrored my memory of the last time we touched
i walked outside where the clouds
kissed my toes on the grass
i thought i saw a glimpse of you
and it froze me to the bone
i will meet you where the clouds
were touching the ground
i'll meet you where the clouds
the clouds were touching the ground
like a statue standing still
aging as the seasons flash past me
through the field
black sillouette on the dying
horizon i wont move until
i will meet you where the clouds
were touching the ground
i'll meet you where the clouds
the clouds were touching the ground
where the trees break the line of the sky
slowly like a bad dream
your shadow slides away from me
the note you left last night

lyrics for eidolon's cloudy song
The Clouds They Touch The Ground
by Eidolon
there was a traveler
many years ago
who photographed the end
most didn't notice
he was around us
to some he was a friend
hidden down here
underneath the shelter
our life it will depend
on what we gather
oh yes it matters
our debt we cannot lend
and at night
how the time slows
when we've all circled round
for who knows
what the shadows bring
the clouds they touch the ground
a pointless battle
for our survival
the bell curve has its bend
a precious resource
so quickly squandered
to the last they did defend
a sudden ending
should not surprise us
our modern era was pretend
the bitter surplus
of all our problems
to the future we did send
and at night
the how time slows
when we've all circled round
for who knows
what the shadows bring
the clouds they touch the ground
there was a traveler
