Well, I wasn't going to post my reviews this early...but since there's relatively few.

I like the way the vocals are mixed during the voice. I'm a sucker for dueling voices in each headphone. I like the break around two minutes, especially the drumming. I'd like to hear some more actual "singing", perhaps during the chorus portion. I also thinks it should have ended when I thought it was going to around 3:30. Overall I don't love it, but it's decent.

I like the opening bass and then it's downhill from there. Sorry, maybe I'm turning into my mom early but this is one of those things my kids would listen to and i would say "that's just noise!". There was no definite structure or rhythm to it. You're obviously capable of making lots of neat noises, but you need to whip them into submission a little more. You might want to check out The Orb for an example of how you can sort of drift in and out of "just noise" while having a definite song. The Orb was the direction I could see this song going.

Your SF! reputation speaks for itself, you've obviously got something special. This song makes me want to raise my lighter in the air. But I'd probably catch a lamp on fire or something. I love the harmonica and which it had stayed a little longer. Something in the song strikes me as not entirely genuine though. I can't place my finger on it...I guess something about it sounds a little too mainstream-y for my taste. But it's pretty much flawlessly executed and pleasant to listen to. I think it's too "safe" to be a vote contender for me.
Dustpipe
Is this all you, or a band? It evokes pleasant memories of jamming with friends in tiny spaces on crappy instruments. I think there's potential in this song. I don't know that the screaming throughout the entire song seems necessary. Here too I'd like to hear some "singing" proper. I like the break around 2:45, it's very clean and since it's where the vocals drop off, it makes me think that the vocal mix itself is sort of messing with the first part of the song. But then when the vocals come back in it's much cleaner sounding. I'd like the whole song to sound like that minute between 2:45 and 3:45. And put a little more gusto into a big finish instead of that slow fade into "are we done now?"

Wind effect is cool. The piano isn't bad. I can see w/ the piano and vocals you were going for something very simplistic. I agree w/ the Lou Reed asssessment of it, and in my opinion, Lou Reed didn't even pull it off that often. I guess wanting to hear "singing" is my feeling here too. Without it, the song seems to meander and drag on.
Fourth Grade Gladiators
Have you listened to the later albums of Tripping Daisy? This sounds like it could be a lost track off of one of the last two. There's also some Flaming Lips in the vocals. Oddly, when I listened to this for the first time yesterday, I wasn't really keen on it...but I'm kinda digging it now. I had to go back and listen to your other two songs because I recognized your name, and I have to say, IMO, you seem like you're getting better w/ each submission. This is def my favorite so far. I think like Tripping Daisy, sometimes I just can't listen to it, and other times it's my favorite thing to listen to. Vote contender.

Gabba Gabba Hey! Did someone besides Marge Simpson say that? I think this song works for what it is...though I haven't figured out what it is yet. In places it sounds like Arnold Schwartzenegger. I can't imagine listening to this much, but it's executed well and I'd probably dance to it.
Ill Cricket Crew
Haha, sorry but that bass line sounds like it was stolen out of Beverly Hills Cop. The kid is a nice touch, cute. The chorus part doesn't work for me, a little 311-esque, but not quite pulled off. Several of the rhymes are done well...one guy sounds like the Korn guy and it doesn't fit w/ everyone elses'. I like the closing skit, funny.

Ok, your song actually worked for me yesterday day when everyone else said it didn't, and now whatever the fightmaster's done has made it not working for me. Fortunately I remember the song. You are someone I'll always check out in a fight, and I think I voted for you last week. That said, this song didn't do it for me. A little too silly and short. You can obviously play and I like your singing so...once again I'd like to hear singing.
Kill Me Sarah - Me
I imagine this could be a drag for someone to listen to if they weren't in the mood for it, but I wanted it to be kinda slow and drifting. I'm not thrilled with all of the piano parts. I actually had to record this from a cheap old Yamaha keyboard to a cheap Tascam 4 track tape recorder, and then stream that to my PC. So I couldn't go back and make the edits I wanted to. There's also a couple hiccups where I cut out some audio data that was clipping. I realized as I was writing all of those other reviews, that I didn't really "sing" all that much on this either. All said, I'm actually pretty pleased with it. I like the keyboard voice that sounds like it's breathing. I like how it's laid back and soothing.

Another strong first entry. Your guitar playing is well performed. This is not a style of music I would ever listen to outside of SF! so it's hard to be unbiased when I review it. The part where you talk about hoping to be clever and the part shortly after that I enjoy. I like the singing style there, reminds me of old Silverjet (well, all Silverjet would be old) and I like that. Welcome to SF!

I like this song...this is a song off an album I'd probably buy

It's mellow and your voice does a good Tom Waits impersonation. It's not mind-boggling new or different, but it's a well crafted song. Vote contender.
Thanks For The Frisbee
The guitar-picking caught me off guard at first but works within the context of the song. I can see you playing this song on TRL with teenage girls sobbing and singing along. It has that kind of Dashboard Confessional vibe, although I like it far more than anything DC has ever done. The screaming at the end makes me...uncomfortable, and I think that's why I like it. I know not everyone digs it, but I like the way you go through this mellow, tame song and then you feel kind of on the spot at the end. I also enjoy the falsetto in the background vocal. Vote contender.

I got the same critique on my Adonai song about my notes shifting too much. I kinda like it though. I don't think it's something that should be used all the time, but it works occasionally. I have a bigger bone to pick with the aimless guitar playing. Actually, I wonder how others feel about this. If I attempted to play a lead in a song, it would sound exactly the same...I'd hit some notes, miss others. I'm wondering if it's better to go ahead and do it anyway, since that's the only way you learn (and after a long time of playing, I'm seriously no better than you are). Or if it's too distracting and should be left out of a song if you intend to fight with it. I'm drawn. On one hand we'll get the chance to hear those leads continue to improve, but on the other hand it sort of distracts.
WreckdoM
And we're to the end...your hip hip hooray isn't very enthusiastic. Here again, we have a song that seems a little too drawn out and meandering and um...w/out singing. This song doesn't work for me, except maybe as a deep album track amongst other better songs, as a sort of palate cleanser or something. Hopefully that album won't have Punk Bartender on it though.
