Butterfly Massacre

Post by jeff robertson »

(as recorded by FLVXXVM FLORVM..)

ever since I can remember
I've always tried to stay away

from people who would hurt me if they could
I never thought that it would be this good

you are just the kind of pervert
who pulls the wings off butterflies

and get off when you watch them slowly die
just like you get off when you make me make me cry

(solo)

you are probably the devil
here to drag me down to hell

if this is what it's like I want to go!
tear my body up and eat my soul

you are really gonna kill me
i don't mean it in a figurative way

i wanna die right here right now with you
i wanna die right here right now with you

(solo)

leave me lying in the gutter
covered by a thousand broken wings

my blood will wash its way into the earth
commit the sacred massacre of birth

cut off my eyelids so I cannot blink
cut my head off so I cannot think

i wanna die right here right now with you
i wanna die right here right now with you

Butterfly Massacre

Don’t blame Bush for Katrina
Don’t try to pin it on Fema
It’s not to do with the engineers
Or the maintenance arrears
If you live in New Orleans
And need someone to blame
Read your chaos theory
It was caused by a butterfly
Flapping it’s wings

Revenge, we want revenge
So we’re going to kill you all
Choking you with our smog
Mowing down the plants you eat
Pumping chemicals into the air
And running you over with our SUVs
Whatever it takes, we’ll get you all
We won’t rest until we’re safe

It’s so easy for you
Sitting in your jungle
Browsing on the milkweed
Or the English chalkdowns
Fluttering your wings
Like you haven’t a care
Like you don’t even know
What misery you’re causing
Flapping your wings

Revenge, we want revenge ...

If you’d been through what we’d been through
Then you’d understand
We are hurting, we are angry
We need someone to kill
And when all the evil butterflies are gone
Then everything will be ok
And instead of wasting our money on hurricane defences
We can spend it on useful things like armaments

Revenge, we want revenge ...

Butterfly Massacre
by Damien Verrett

Butterflies don’t lead
very long lives
but that doesn’t mean
killing them is not a crime

If you look close
their lives aren’t far off from ours
Humans and butterflies
aren’t that far apart

Monarchs do not live
for very long
but that doesn’t mean
this massacre’s not wrong

I wish that you’d see
If we could love we would be
living in a land of
winged harmony

Dragonflies
can go to hell
their shameless lust
makes me feel unwell

But butterflies
are virgin pure
they’d never hurt anyone
that’s for sure

You won’t listen
and now they’re getting mad
You won’t listen
and now they’re getting mad

You won’t listen
now they’re getting angry
You won’t you listen
why are you making them angry?

Butterfly Massacre
written by Luke Henley
performed by Luke Henley's Heartland Choir

My brother’s sword
hung on his hip
His wide brim covered
his trembling lip
We were just men
Did what men will
On Butterfly Hill
On Butterfly Hill.

We held our ground
our sins were pardoned
Our fathers called
from sweet old Ireland
Take me there now
on flaking wings
You shiney things
You shiney things

Look to the mountains
a bloodlet cow
and in the end
runs down my brow
my eyes become
a stinging red
We’re put to bed
the lay down dead.

We write our wives
lay down our lives
never our arms
under snowy pines
In chapels pitched
up in the fire
we form a choir
we form a choir

Down at the roots
of Butterfly Hill
we climb too far
against our will
The rifles throw
us to the wolves
their howls resound
all through our souls.
Their howls resound
all through our souls.

My brother’s sword
hung on his hip
His wide brim covered
his trembling lip
We were just men
Did what men will
On Butterfly Hill
On Butterfly Hill.

Butterfly Massacre
Middlemarch

I am waiting
At the top
Of a perfectly green hill

I have my net, I have my pins
I am holding my breath
I am perfectly still

See them take flight
In the fields
All around, all around, all around

They are the earth shattering
In the sky
With only a fluttering, little sound

One more is all I want
I’ve got a massacre
On my hands

One more is all I want
To take home
And stay forever

I have thousands in cases at my home
In my closet
And on my walls

But this one, this one today
Will be the most perfect
Of them all

One more is all I want
I’ve got a massacre
On my hands

One more is all I want
To take home
And stay forever

All I want's another
All I want's another
And another

Fly, fly, fly, fly, fly, fly
Kiss the sky
One last time

Fly, fly, fly, fly, fly, fly

Butterfly Massacre
by Phil's First Tambourine

kill them all

such a display of beauty
such a display of grace
such a putrid thought to think
that they rub it in our face

the butterflies fly tonight
when it's dark, the force emerges.
we'll be waiting for them to land,
to extinguish those little scourges!
the butterflies fly tonight
we'll ambush them at dawn
their deaths will be on our hands
their bodies on our lawns

kill them all

they have worked so hard
to get so muy bonito
days and months and weeks
to crush us with their ego

kill them all
six bucks an hour

Butterfly Massacre by Chekhov's Pistol

We're out to exterminate the seed
and they do not respond to conventional means
bayonets and bullets are no use to me
I need kerosene and electricity

social injustice, a flag we don't want to follow
stand with paper and sticks, yeah, working for tomorrow
we'd display our thoughts like dots on butterflies' wings
just a transitive act restricted by policy

We implement the massacre
it was no tiananmen
they marched into the capital
and nobody cared, nobody saw, yeah

thousands amassed, pushing for the patman
setting up shanties on public works land
couldn't keep the peace with just ammunition
tear gas makes the socialist children listen

They burned in the sun (inside) for that
We're gonna burn in hell for this
and wake up with a mouth full of bees

Butterfly Massacre by Stubby Phillips

If all the warriors died
we'd have their automatic weapons
to fire into the sky
at every wedding reception.
And we could shoot all the butterflys
and do away with the storms
curlinging off their chaotic wings.
Oh we could do so many things.

Oh we'd spray the sacred ammo
into every tree and sign,
and all the animals
just to watch them cry.
We'd shoot our friends by mistake
and the butterflys would try
to evolve armour plates --
but evolution's just a theory.
But they don't know that --
and it's a worry.

I like to mumble the mumbo jumbo
when I mambo through the jungle
in my sandals as I stumble
on the mangos -- could be trouble.
You wanna bet I dance for sure
all the way to the butterfly massacre.

If all the scientists died
we'd take back our planet.
No more alarmist leftist rants
trying to start a panic.
Don't worry about the butterflys --
they're all going to heaven.
Won't the angels be surprised!
Go get your AK47.

Butterfly Massacre
by WreckdoM

I keep having this same dream where I am enormous and naked and floating above a field covered in dandelions, and as the wind tears through the dandelions their little spore thingies come floating up to me and stick to the sweat on my skin and they soon cover me completely and I look like a big fluffy guy and as I land on the ground all the tiny people come running up to laugh at me, They all come up to laugh at the big fluffy guy and even the animals, the birds and the insects, and it is at this moment that the message comes pounding into my head, a steely cold message that pulses and screams and reveals the truth as it has always been known…

All the butterflies are going to die
They’re all going to die
They’re all going to die

And all the human beings going to die
They’re all going to die
They’re all going to die

All the butterflies are going to die
They’re all going to die
They’re all going to die

And all the human beings going to die
They’re all going to die
They’re all going to die

And the insects are surrounding me and they grow bigger and bigger as they swarm about and their gaze pierces through me as they stare with countless millions of eyes and then suddenly an enormous sharp metal pole comes speeding towards me and pierces my skin and my bone and my organs and pins my body to a blue velvet surface and as blood comes spouting from my mouth and my nose, my ears and my eyes, my poop hole and my pee-pee hole, there is this one thought that encompasses this final moment of my consciousness, I use the very last of my strength to push these words through my drowning death rattle, this final eternal truth….

All the butterflies are going to die
They’re all going to die
They’re all going to die

And all the human beings going to die
They’re all going to die
They’re all going to die

All the motherfuckers are going to die
They’re all going to die
They’re all going to die

And all the motherfuckers going to die
They’re all going to die
They’re all going to die

Motherfuckers
