Los Relativos Especial
Last week, I bought a fretless bass from eBay. It arrived today, and I just went and picked it up from the mailroom. It's fuggin' sweet. But I look like an asshole playin' it, because it's a Cort Curbow and it's really tiny and it's got a creepy faux-walnut burl finish and it's kinda death metal-lookin'. Fretless basses sound awesome though. Bwaaahw. Makes me wanna start a band. Bwaaahw.
A couple nights ago I went and saw Jenny Lewis. I fuckin' hate country, but it was a pretty cool show.
I skipped school this morning because I didn't have any of my homework done. And I don't think there would have really been much for me to do without my homework anyway, and I really liked the teacher, and I don't really like disappointin' him. I've got a week off. I'll get caught up.
So I stayed home and recorded a country song called Not Like That in the Luke Henley recording tradition. No do-overs and all that. I added some reverb, because reverb is pretty cool. The fretless bass does not make an appearance, because that would be chronologically impossible. Pay attention.
I'm finishing up the mix now. And by "mix" I mean "big sloppy mess."
Ampersand, hearts, and semicolon,
Brian

I'm out for this week. I ran out of time. I probably should have stuck with Nothing Day since i had music and lyrics written for it, but I thought I had a better idea for No Really but it fell through. I would go ahead and record my Nothing Day song but I already gave up the lyrics in the lyric thread for someone else to use although I don't know if anyone did or not.
Needless to say, I'm bummed.

From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style.

With a week being 168 hours and you sleeping an average of 54 of those you have 114 hours available and you still couldn't fit it in??? wow![/ironic observation]

welp... I wasn't planning on submitting anything. I didn't like the topics that much... but some how I ended up making the craziest, possibly weirdest song I've ever made. the guitar work really isn't "up to par," but I still like it. it also sounds like I've been listening to alot of mike patton stuff... hmmm.
so, yeah, RattPoizon is rockin' it out this week. I supose.
