USD$2 for a one minute song? That's works out to be about $200 per hour. OK - now I'm interested

You guys down there either get more dollars out of a dollar or more minutes out of an hour. Probably the first one. What's the exchange rate?

Also: I'm in this.

I have forwarded my submission to the appropriate personnel. It ended up 1.13. But I can't chop it off. Hope I don't get penalized for it. It is an operatic piece, in Spanish. Hell, it's way early. Maybe I'll also submit the groovalicious track I began. But last night, I had to bleed. Bleed, or die. Get the poison out. Phil? Multi-submissions, yes?

It is, of course, about losing my damned mind. Can't seem to get over it. Can't talk about it. And so, I compose. Yay, me. USE the pain. OWN it.

Anyhoo, it features myself, playing the three acoustic guitar parts, actual cello and actual violins, drums, um, and singing, yeah. Fuck. It is SO much easier to bleed it out in a foreign language. So much to spill. So. Here 'tis. It's about wanting to be ONE of TWO, and having WON, TOO. In a really cynical, crappily vocalized way.

Here are the words in Spanish and English, if you like.

----------------------------------------

Tengo no vida, soy muerto, existo aquí,
I have no life, I am dead, I exist here,

Solo sin ti, mi Consuelo
Only without you, my Consolation.

Sueño siempre del día brillante en que
I dream always of the shining day in which

vuelves a mi
you return to me;

para que no faltaremos para nada;
So that we will not lack anything;

pero solamente a vivir junto como uno.
but only to live together as one.

Conozco (que)
I know (that)

consumo
I am consumed

con (esta) pena totalmente;
with (this) pain totally;

(por lo tanto) condenado
(therefore) I am condemned

por tiempo infinito.
until time without end.

Supongo es (otra) nueva
I suppose all this is (another) new

victoria
victory

por mi, mi corazon,
for me, for my heart,

pero, no me ganar.
but, I cannot win.

Actually, that's why it's over 1. min. I slowed it down so I could perform some of the faster parts, and forgot to reduce it back. :P

I am popping in for a re-minder. Look at your calendar. Look at todays date. Put your finger on it. Put your other finger on the 21st. That is the distance that one minute must travel.

I think, with the way Nur Ein is going, that if I manage to make it one more round, I won't be in this. hell, I'll send in the original one I did... since it never got entered... but if I get knocked out, I'll be in this one. heh. This "one".
