I also gotta say that Glenn's song is great! It helps that I was trying to debug some pretty hoary code at work while listening to it.

Well, I gave it the best I had. This sidefight was the most SF-related fun I've had in a long time. Thanks to Niv and the judges for putting (and keeping) it all together. Fantastic job.

I look forward to watching the rest of it unfold. Looking at the remaining four, I can pick no clear favorite.

I got a sore throat from that performance you heartless bastards!

Dissapointment greater than relief but still we could use a nap. I'm just bummed that "Condescending Prick" is right up our ally and we're the masters of call and response. Oh well.

Sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the judges, contestants and especially Niv. This was boatloads of fun and I hope we don't have to wait a year for the next one. Best of luck to the final four. There can be only one: NUR EIN!!!

Calfborg certainly deserves top honors this round. I don't know how I would have ranked everyone else. It is an honor to continue to round 6!

it's like march madness in april! down to the final 4. :)

jim t, wreckdom, and octothorpe, sorry you guys have to go. fine consistent job throughout and many thanks for playing to all of you. octothorpe and wreckdom have long established track records as iron men of songfight, and jim t, your stuff each week was well executed, varied, and consistently good.

yes, there can only be one. and these are 4 very good contestants left.

I fully expected to be eliminated this week, being that I was right at the bottom of the list last time. This competition has been unpredictable, to say the least. As Ken said, it's an honor to advance to round 6.

#, Jim, and Wreckdom: Great job making it as far as you did! I, like many others, am sad to see you go. I do think it's a funny coincidence that # went out with an entry that scored 8 points from the judges.

ROCK!

Okay. Song submitted. I'll tell you some stories about my song once the judges have done their thing.

My song turned out to be a mess I wasn't sure what to do with. Maybe this competition is just too intense for me to sustain with good material. Good luck my fellow three.

EDIT: I now realize I've killed the groove of the first section of the song with a disconcerting transition (or lack thereof) to the second section and it's too late for me to change it. Damn.

Ah welll. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. It was a lot of fun to make.

Good luck to the other three.

I am happy with my song. I am NOT happy with my vocals in spots.

It truly is an honor to be in the top 4, whether I get eliminated this week or not. I also have made a few songs that I really like as a result of this contest. That's probably the coolest part. My "Pencil Me In" has been getting a LOT of compliments from those who have heard it. I love that competitions like this FORCE me to get some music done, so THANK YOU to those who made it happen.

Best of luck to Calfborg, Ken, and Leaf. This is bound to be the toughest week for the judges. Particularly since they are off the hook next week! The fate of the final round falls on the 23 eliminated contestants!

ROCK!

well, we seem to have a small glitch. one person is clearly in the final and one is clearly out. the other 2 are tied. we need to sort out a fair solution so the vote may be posted a bit late tomorrow as johnny and i are 9 hours apart for starters. but a fair solution will be found.

I'll try to get some reviews of the last 2 rounds up later tonight

but - whatever happens from here on in - I gotta say Calfborg is the winner for me. I listened to the last 2 rounds today and that dude is really finishing strongly

well done Mr Calfborg

Thank you very much Mr. Ray, even though I'm feeling pretty far from safe at this point. There are some top quality entries this round.

Just wondering. Will each of us be voting for best song or ranking 1-2-3?
