Pirates of the Caribbean (Bethesda Soft):
Fun as heck, but a little clunky on the Xbox. The ship battles are epic in pace, and there's plenty of booty to be had. I give it a B+. It'd prolly score higher on PC.

Sid Meir's "Pirates!":
A little heavy on the arcade-style play for my tastes. The quests are also very linear, altho moderately satisfying. It lacked the depth of on-island play present in POTC, but the streamlined ship battles made it at least a pleasant alternative. B-

Tropico, Pirate Island! (Poptop):
A fun pirate RTS involving making craploads of rum and building expansive bordellos. A+.

I used to have this game on my Amige 500. It is that old, but I love it! In my opinion one of the best games ever.

It is inexcusable that I have not joined this thread. Or, you know, the other one.

What's the take on James K. Polk vs. a Pirate?
I personally believe Polk would beat the shit out of a pirate.
And after examining google images it seems that a patch on the left eye is more widely preferred.

James K Polk > *.
but he is an honorary pirate, so it's not a real comparison.

The eyepatch makes him a bad-ass. And look, he's about to stomp on Noah's Ark.
