Have you seen your last name?
After getting distracted by talking to a co-worker about comparisons between Ross Durand's "El Balazo" and Marty Robbins' "El Paso", I think I'm done wiki'ing for the moment. I'll do more later.
So, I think the wiki thing is cool. But I don't see why we'd repeat things like "fights entered" there when it's in the archives. With audio no less. Unless...the archive were somehow dynamic XML content that can automatically be sucked in...no. Where is the line drawn?
What is the purpose of making fight titles in the wiki links if not to bring you back to the archives?

I was kinda treating it as a "here are all the fights I entered, along with collabs and sidefights" because I keep forgetting where the thread is for that.

right. for example, I didn't know Leaf was in all that shit. others might not know I did the eight-note guitar solo after the first chorus in the irc all stars' "i meant to remember," or what my role was in the "related artists" listed on my archive page. maybe one day that'll be deprecated, but the archive will almost certainly only ever be a database, and not an encyclopedia.

I love the idea of anonymous people writing/editing your Wiki page. Though it also leaves me insanely curious about things, like who thinks I look like a cross between Roberto Benigni and Shia Labeouf.
Also: I Google myself all the time. Apparently the only other one of me around is an Alaskan Iditarod racer, which is pretty cool.
[Edit] I just Googled 'songfight wiki' and came across the Wikipedia entry for us. I never knew SF! had such an interesting history.

This is the stuff it could be most useful for, especially if people annotate their song pages in a way that points to a technique page. For instance, I will certainly create an alligator clip page since I love them and have used them many times. People looking to expand their sonic mixes can have a nice resource to go to.

i was the one who added the comment about shia labeouf. come on, you have to admit you look like him in your picture.

Haha, I actually really like that kid...I have ever since I saw him in Battle at Shaker Heights. I seem to draw a lot of comparisons to quirky guys. A lot of people have said I look like Zach Braff.
[Edit] I just realized that a common thread among these three guys is large noses. Coincidence...?

Thanks for anyone who copy edits me in the wiki. Somedays I write off the cuff while extremely distracted, so I may misspell something here, dangle a participle here, split an infinitive there, etc.
