I actually like this idea the best.

If no one else is interested, I'll take you on Caravan Ray. You and me, we'll duck it out.

If I knew how to figure out song chord progressions I would be more willing, but it could be pretty fun ...

I was counting everything that the person had been involved in, and fluffy was in Elite Inner Echelon Blood-Circle for Elvis In Space, which won.
I've been in a number of collaborations which have won (a few Octothorpe songs, a FAL song, and probably others I'm forgetting) but I've never won a solo effort, under ANY of my aliases.

I still count that as you having a win of some description.

Nothing I have ever been involved in regarding SongFight entries has won.

I did win that SideCoverFight, Residents of the USA, though. But ripping off other people is so much easier.

This is why there should be another website for these kids to go to. Like ....I dunno....SongFight Jr. or something. The lack of musical competence is astounding.

Hey Goobaroo......here's your target demographic. Please grab them up and take them away with you.

Dan-O: That was a bit harsh, but I completely agree with your point. This is a community mainly populated with songwriters and musicians. How long would someone last in a drawing/painting art community if all they submitted was poorly scribbled crayon drawings of kittens?

Jolly Roger: While you're probably fully justified in coming out swinging, seeing as how Dan-O's comment was directed at you, it's always a better idea to wait a while before posting. Angry or knee-jerk retaliatory posting very rarely has the same impact as a well thought out, intelligent response. (remember the whole 'blue is an asshole' thing?)

I'll get you started on the right foot here: You have to find someone's weakness- their Kryptonite, as it were. Next time mean old Dan-O is mean to you, try replying with something like this:

Dan-O's Wife: "ARE YOU STILL ON THE COMPUTER JESUS CHRIST DAN-O I ASKED YOU TWO HOURS AGO TO CLEAN THE BATHROOM AND WE'RE OUT OF EGGS FOR DINNER SO GO TO THE STORE AND ALSO I NEED TAMPONS HURRY UP YOU LAZY BASTARD"

I don't know. I was just kind of mad because I do see myself as a musician. Not a Songfight Jr. contestant with a lack of musical competance. I have played music for pretty much my entire life. I have experience with keyboards, various wind instruments, and percussion. When I say I have problems figuring out chord progressions, that does not mean I am an inexperienced musician, it means that I don't have much experience with guitar. Maybe the stuff I do isn't up to your par, but I like the music that I make. Maybe not as much as the music others make. But I like it. Sorry for freaking out.

Here's a crazy idea: If you're competent at an instrument other than guitar, why not use an instrument other than guitar for your songs?

Perhaps he enjoys taking risks and learning new things? :!:

Nothing wrong with that, but if you're going to try new things and suck at them, be prepared to be told that you suck at those things.

And I won't. Polishing turds isn't an activity I'm even remotely interested in TYVFM.

At my count, 25 fights with no wins?
this has already been corrected, but last time we did songfight statistics i was the fighter with the most entries with no zero votes... (i think plat did that tabulation?)
(plus i don't vote for myself)

OK.....sorry Sven.

Sorry anyone else.

Maybe I misinterpreted what was written, and that should be straightened out in PM's or the IRC.

But my point stands about involving people who aren't posting here.
