In a shock to even myself, I actually held up this statement and have a song in this week's fight.

I had a great idea for "Covered in Bugs," but I didn't have a chance to make it. Maybe I will just for shits. I will try my best to bang something out for this week's titles. I have a week. I can do it! :D
On second thought, there's already great art for all three titles. And I have to work! I'll... step aside.

jolly roger wrote:So I had this awesome collab thing going for Saint Gratus with Des, Leaf, and Big Crouton, but it kind of fell through late in the week. Then last night, at 9:30 pm, I was like, Hey! Why don't I write one for saving throw? So I wrote, recorded, and mixed my song until 11:00. I sent it in, and I just listened to it again. You can pretty much tell it was made in one and a half hours, I'll tell you that much.
sorry 'bout that dude. I tried to get it done on thursday night, but was sucking hard, and from then on I was either at work or out of town. Sorry.

Besides that, it's the lyrics that make a song about what it's about.
Y'know. Yeah, you could cheat the system and do a full song and then just alter one line to include the title and win Songfight and hip-hurrah.
Way to totally misinterpet what I said. I might as well not do a song for next fight either, cuz people will not vote for me thinking I'm cheating.

I said I was going to work on some music. As in practice making music so I can get better at it. I never said I was going to make a song and change one line to fit the title. Rumors and miscommunications like that are hurtful.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

Octothorpe is making an "In the Van", but alas, it won't be ready by update time. Well, unless JB is really slow.

I don't think that will be why. I'll give you a track to rap over if you want to take a break from makin the music.

Ummm, i think Bjam was responding to this: "'Cuz making music at the last second has gotten me so many wins. :P Besides that, it's the lyrics that make a song about what it's about". It can be very easily be (mis) interpreted as trying to justify 'cheating' in advance.

Though I've never done it myself, I personally don't care if people make music in advance - but it does bug me when people shoot their mouths off about it all over the boards. Not saying that's you, Rone, just saying in general.

Sounds fun to me, too. Maybe a bunch of us should do it as a side fight. That'd be interesting. We could all use the same backing track.

That would be kind of cool—to hear a bunch of completely different styles over the same track.

I would be a part of that sidefight.

As far as using your beats for next fight Denyer, I'll have to decline. But I appreciate the offer.

Well if you like the idea, then go ahead and take the oppurtunity. I'm gonna do my own thing for Stairway to the Moon I think. I'll have to work on music all night tonight cuz the only 2 days I can perform are thursdays and fridays. Cuz that's the only time I have the house to myself. I'll make it work, trust me. :D
