All new. Enjoy. It could use fact-checking, as well as additions--but if you plan to add, be sure you're familiar with Wikipedia's general guidelines, or someone (maybe me) will probably revert it or re-edit it heavily. We could especially use more coverage of SF in the press. Vanity articles for individual SF bands will probably not go over well in terms of notability (though both MCF and Kompressor are notable enough outside of SF to have pages).

Edit: See, I was wondering where the SF WP thread was. I saw "Song Fight on [CENSORED]" and figured "[CENSORED]" was some other site I'd never heard of. I should've remembered, though, I was around when the silliness happened.

As it is clear for everyone to see, no one has been banned here.
As it is clear for everyone to see, we let OTM post whatever he wants, since we have nothing to fear.
As it is clear for everyone to see, if this were (more of) a democratically run organization, OTM would have been banned by now.

As usual, OTM will claim that we are denying banning him.
As usual, OTM will claim that we are repressing him somehow, and that he would all be better off on a (more) democratic board.

Fortunately, the mods here continue to protect OTM's right to say these things.

For now.

I presume I have made OTM's day by responding. Glad to be of service.

The point is that the administrators are accountable to the members.

If you ban an Ip you are fabricating a consensus.

I know for a fat that my IP was blocked just after registering at Somesongs as "suck my dick".

I also know for a fact that a small minority here had Lightning Ear Fart banned.

I also know for a fact that there are some very talented people who could administer these forums.

Why they don't fight for a system that allows them to take turns?

I think that they are afraid of losing popularity. Of losing the Songfight!

Of being marked out as some kind of oddball as I have been.

somesongs is not songfight.
we have no influence on jeff in that regard, nor he on us.
Lightning Ear Fart was reprimanded not banned, and it was from dumbrella, not from here.
(if he was later banned, I know nothing of that)
some very talented people ARE adminsitering these forums.
