Why they don't fight for a system that allows them to take turns?

I think that they are afraid of losing popularity. Of losing the Songfight!

Of being marked out as some kind of oddball as I have been.

I know nobody here is nominating me (and for good reason, no less) but if someone offered me the position of running Songfight, I would definitely turn it down. As would most of the people here. Running Songfight is a work-intensive responsibility that very few people are willing to invest in.

So we're all just members of a big ol' community run by two guys, and if the songs are several days late most of the time, then we'll just quiver like a second-grader who has to pee, and that's fine, because we're not the ones who put in all those man-hours a week to make it run. Oh, and money from their own pockets. In money and work, they are paying to allow us to hang out here. And I think that's pretty awesome of them.

Yeah, dumbrella (rstevens?) banned LEF, not anyone here.

30 people from Songfight got LEF banned from Dumbrella which at that time had over 5000 registered users.

They did it with "democracy" by holding a poll in which 30 a large majority of a very miniscule fraction of the dumbrella community voted.

90% of less than 1% of the membership voted him out. Though the poll made it appear as a majority.

The poll was open to anyone and everyone on the Dumbrella board. Unfortunately, the majority of names on the board were inactive members, and many others didn't know or care about LEF. Of the thirty-odd members who did vote in the poll, the overwhelming majority thought that some sort of disciplinary action needed to be taken against LEF, and the board moderator at the time was happy to aquiesce.

Isn't this Democracy? You're now speaking out against the very system you've been trying to shove down our throats. Because in Democracy, you have the option on voting. Nobody forces you. And you only pick the results based on the total number of people who voted. Not much more than half the U.S. voted in the 2004 election {citation}.

That's democracy.

I don't know much about Brad Sucks, but apparently he has a song that comes with the Nouvelle Renault Meagan. At the point where a car company is trying to throw in an mp3 of your song with the purchase of a CAR, you are clearly bigtime.
