for $12-$18 you can get a dictation mic from best buy or something. thats pretty cheap and they are clear enough for your purposes. they tend to record a little bit quiet, but i think it would do for what you use it for.
not that it's saying much of anything, but my first few songs for sf were done using a $12 dollar comp. mic. the sound is not awesome but its good enough if you want a quick fix without shelling out serious cash-flow

So I just got back from a 3 week trip and I'm really surprised at how many have been entered. My sound card isn't working though, so no reviews for now. Thanks for the generally good comments! Looks like this fight has a good lineup.

Yes, it's really me. The title just gave me the idea of this little tone poem I think is inspired by some old John Zorn. No joke, and no offense taken, just following a random muse.
