Naming your MP3s
I don't know if this is necessarily help-related, but I just started putting some SF songs on my MP3 player and I know I always edit my tags and put the album as "Song Fight!". Now I'm wondering if maybe it would be better to have the album match the song name or possibly have the album be the week in a given date format or something along these lines, so that it's easier to find songs. I realize that we probably can't get everyone to do this, since we can't even get everyone to put their band names on there yet. But for those of us who use our MP3 players to listen to SF I thought maybe we could come to a consensus to how we should name our files. I'll agree to post mine in whichever way most people would like.

This thread should be ID3 tag conventions, not "Naming MP3s" since the MP3 naming format is already set by the fightmasters.
As for conventions, sounds like a good idea.

I tend to pick a funny album title each year. I think one of the Loyalty Day albums was "Loyalty Day Strikes Back."

I always tag my entries thus:
For Example:
Track Title - All Tan
Artist - @eclectic spOOns
Album - SongFight!
Genre - Bubble-Gum Punk
Track Number - 26
Year - 2006
Tempo - 152
When I download this weeks songs, I will re-tag them all myself given what information I know from the original tags, and make the album title for example:
SongFight! (All Tan)
So consequently I have on my player a list of SongFight! albums with the track title in brackets...
Basic Organisation!
I don't think you can make people tag their songs to match what you'd like, just re-tag them.... simple!
