I found songfight from when the board used to be held on the drumbrella boards. I read alot of the comics from that board and i was just clicking around and songfight sounded interesting. I was also a fan of Kompressor at the time, but totally didn't notice his songfight entries till several weeks later.
I was living in an appartment at the time, and my friend (Dave L/Unit .M) and I got very drunk and we recorded angry all over late into the night (about 4am) screaming at the top of our lungs into microphones, and shifting gutiar that was reasonably in time way out of time. (Which by the way I received two separate noise complaints for). At this time our equipment consisted of a $20 mic, two cheap guitars (one however being a cream hondo flying v, which i still have and think is rad) , a entry level peavy amp (which i think someone picked us up on) and a noisy as hell computer tower, which could only just barely run fruityloops. We recorded everything in using some random wav editor and synched it all up in fruityloops (or at least attempted to). What a pain in the arse.
It was the first song we'd managed to 'finish' (and i use the term lightly). Under the name of Hentai Kitty Death for those of you that wish to have their ears fucked repeatedly by giant metal mosquitos. What I loved most about that time was how angry everyone was on the boards.
I believe sober irishman started the week after, and really liked our stand in the circle, though I never really worked out why. Stand in the circle also had my favorite songfight song of all time by omphaloskepsis.
meeeemories...
Now we have a pretty good collection of equipment, but still can't record it properly. *shakes fist* One day...[/quote]

Brilliant.I felt like taking a pen and shoving it into both of my ears until I felt blood running down my cheeks.

HKD rocks the effing house. Staaaand in the cirrrrcle
History..
After lurking around since about WWNMOIS, my first entry was 'Bullseye Girl,' but it didn't go up because of internet/computer issues. First official entry was Stand in the Circle.
At the time I had the standard SB16 card, cheap karaoke machine microphone, crappy assorted instruments, and stumbling grasp of my pirated Acid 4.0.
My, how the times have changed. I've dumped roughly 10k into this over the last 3 years, and it has all been worth it. Thanks Songfight!
