NYTimes.com Weekend Sidefight

Post by Stubby Phillips »

Make a title from the top headline on the far left side of the Friday 9/22/06 online edition (NOT the print version) of The New York Times. Use at least two words, in any order, from that headline. Post songs here.
Due sometime Monday night 9/25/06

Or "Bill Is On Detainee." Exactly. (That's from today's edition)

You do realize that like any online news portal, the headlines may change during the day, don't you?

I'm going with this one. If someone wants to wait for a better one, cool.

I might be into this. I once started a set of songs based on Science Times articles. There's a new headline already. Maybe screenshots should accompany submissions...but it's too late for the last one.

I'm inclined to just specify the headline I want to use, instead of jumping through hoops to verify what's been up. The first one (above) posted here works for me. I'm half done with the words already, anyway. If someone wants/needs to cheat -- oh well.

Oh, I wasn't worried about cheaters, I just thought it was cool in a title art sort of way. And to help me remember the title :)

This one died a quiet death. Like my dog Sami did a couple days ago. Then I got sick. Pretty fucked-up week. Oh well. Fuck it.
