Okay... (I'm not drunk, I promise
).
I built a new computer Monday. Great, right? Ha! Tuesday at lunch, I slid the damned thing from the middle of the floor to be under my desk and WHAM-O! It immediately shut off and wouldn't come back on (my theory is static electricity, but it could be the motherboard needs replacing).
But the reason I tell you this is because of my entry this week. I worked hard on it, but I can not access it right now because it was on the NEW computer (I moved it there just 5 minutes before the computer died)!
So, lyric and songless (and thoroughly pissed), I set out to write a new song Tuesday night around 7, recorded it on my wife's laptop and submitted it. I only spent an hour or so on it because, guess what, I had to go back to work at 8:30!
The bottom line is, I don't give a shit if it sucks (and at least parts of it does), because I looked fate in its ugly face and said "screw you!", and proceeded to turn in a song anyways.
Oh, and that's also more or less what the song is about.

99% of the time that's from something being partially plugged in. check all of your motherbord connector cords and slots. the other thing that'll happen (if you mounted the MB yourself) is that it's riding too close to the case and shorting.Wages wrote:Okay... (I'm not drunk, I promise).

it's nearly impossible to actually kill a computer with static electricity. i've tried.
before you replace the MB, remove it from the case and plug it into the PS to see if it'll power on naked.
wrong drew. drew tetz inspired last year's ridiculous title.Egg wrote:Drew's homeless (or fauxmless, maybe) and I'm moving again (or maybe just a fauxbo), so I think we check this less often than we used to. I definitely thought the exact same thing when I saw Blue's fictional (or nonfictional?) title. Was that a joke title while we waited for Plastic Rose? I assume I'm missing something because of Spud's edit and that I'm slow.Bjam wrote:Where is Drew to write an epic story to set to music?
Hey, if it's in my power, there will be some sort of Phunt entry celebrating another change in life stages.
Plastic Rose (Otakuppepekakka Rising: The Morality is Questionable) will be an epic if I can muster one.
