Expectations can ruin anything.

Movies, for example:

Why did I kinda enjoy Battlefield Earth? Because I watched the movie with the expectation of seeing one of the crappiest movies ever made, so it wasn't AS bad as I was expecting. (It was close, mind you.)

Why did I think Event Horizon wasn't that scary? Because a friend hyped it up to be the most horrifying film ever created.

So, it is safe to say that you will hate the song. :)

ROCK!

No I think the problem was Event Horizon was sold to people as a sci-fi take on horror, when in fact it was a quite good horror film set in space.

I always saw it as the Call of Cthulhu RPG: 2129 and enjoyed it accordingly. indeed it scrapes into my top 10 for-no-apparent-reason-favourite films of all time

Why did most of you forget how to format your filenames this week? There were only like four people whose file I didn't have to rename. I don't get it.

This new server's installation of Pine is much slower than the old one. Just so you know, if I have to rename your file, it's even more of a pain than it used to be.

Some of you, I thought you knew better. It takes you like five seconds. WTF?

Hey, after playing, listening, and submitting songs, I'm finally posting!

Not too much to say, except watch out for Zipline this week. Yes, after all of the technical difficulties that come from getting together in the course of a Tuesday night to improv live music to the theme of the week, I think we finally got this one right!

That being said, the competition is always amazing, and I remain impressed as to how much quality music folks can produce just for the hell of it!

Good work everyone, and keep it up!

JB - Thanks for your work. This may be a blatant and public fanny-kiss, but I appreciate the work that you do to allow everyone to enjoy Songfight! Cheers to you, Spud, and the rest (just like Gilligan's Island!) for letting goobers like me have fun and learn, too! Long live Songfight! Hooray!

naming your files correctly would be a wonderful means of praising Spud's commitment to independent music.

I get it now. I just looked at how I named mine and after looking at it, I thought to myself, "self, you are a true short buser".
I named it billyslittetrip_tcws. mp3.mp3 haha. I should have just named it billyslittletrip_ws. The mp3 thing automatically adds itself. Image
I'll do it right on the next one, I promise. :?
