Perhaps the benevolent fightmasters could make a page for the fight in the side fights archive? That wouldn't handle the voting aspect, but it would make a good central location for links to the songs that we could all link to off the boards.

Just as a heads up, after today I'm going to be pretty much incommmunicado for a week. It's back-to-back conferences and speaking and events and and and...

First mate glenn, can you stay the course while I go below deck? By then we should have all the stragglers on board and be able to post a proper fight page, initiate a review thread, and start voting.

See you guys sometime after Nov 13....

I'm back.
Let's get this show on the ocean!
I didn't see any volunteers for the fight page though. We could probably just do it through the bulletin board thread. it's already linked from the yacht rock blog, after all.

This is a little more than late, but here it is. My apologies for the delay.

With the Bewells showing up, we were down to 5 missing entries.

I went ahead and posted the Summer Breeze collab between Jim Tyrrell and myself. I was going to try to make the mix better, but it's safe to say that I wouldn't get around to it in the near future. I might as well share what we got.

We are now only short by FOUR entires! We're getting there!

Let me openly express: If Roymond needs assistance with his Todd Rundgren cover, I will gladly assist.

EDIT: Reminder notices have been sent to all four of our missing artists, including an apology if they have already bowed out and I missed it. I have not read through this entire thread this morning.

ROCK!

Ok, so I'm looking up the whole Yatch Rock thing to see why you guys talk about it as if it's your air supply, no pun intended. In my search, this title caught my eye like a dart, just like the time I was passing by a dart board and turned and asked, "hey, whatchya guys play'n?"
This made me laugh until I peed a little.

Yeah, that's one of my favorite episodes! "EAT....BAT...PRICK!"

I set up a YouTube playlist with all 10 episodes. Click here if that is of interest to you.

In other news: Roymond is still in, and I will probably be giving minor assistance to the track.

ROCK!

wow... guess I should stop in more often! This is great! 1976-1984 is the best era in music. Anxiously awaiting Roymond's Rundgren cover....

Not at all, go ahead. It'll be another week for me to get this done.
While we wait, here's my cover of Hello it's Me

It's not the best mix in the world. My gear and my skills have gotten better since then.

But it may be the only one for a little while. Things aren't looking very positive that roymond will have this done too soon. Sorry folks.

Maria Muldaur's "Midnight At The Oasis"

OMG, if I wasn't still hung up on finishing (OK, starting) my Rundgren cover, I'd be all over this!
