How much do you love this stuff?

Would Lucidia make a hot Borg Queen?

Hell yes, OMG will you be at the next convention???

No, but you can totally put on this 7 of 9 outfit that I found randomly in my bedroom...

It amuses me that all four choices are equally liked at this time.

Well. I suppose if you smeared your ** in some **** you'd get the same reaction.

For the record, I"m not popping one though.

i hope people realize this is a star trek related joke that sparked from a conversation that was originally based around me arguing that I wouldn't sleep with william shatner, regardless of his reputation for being a ladies man (he's old and gross and awful, bleh). the conversation got a bit more rediculous as time went on, and eventually i started making jokes about my boyfriend coming home and finding me dressed as a klingon, pointing a phaser at him, and demanding he put on a star trek uniform. hence the whole idea of dressing up like star trek characters came up, and it's utterly rediculous to even consider it so I thought hahah this would be amusing to see reactions too.

anyway, i hope the doesn't kill the jovial nature of this thread but I felt the need to present myself more effectively as I don't need people thinking i'm some attention crazed pair of breasts attached to some mindless bimbo. not that anyone said that... but I wasn't expecting to recieve any sort of specific reaction, especially from men. if anything i was expecting this thread to start a lot of funny jokes and silly arguments.

and obviously i'd rather ANY and ALL people i interact with to have enough respect not to hit on me, but I would think 99% of any flirtation or comments are made with the intention of "busting my balls" and testing my reactions, not so much with any real serious intent. And if there was any serious intent, I'd lay it to rest pretty quickly as I am in a happy monogamous relationship. some people think i'm attractive, some probably think i'm just average, some may even think i'm ugly! cool, diverse opinions make the world go round, and guess what? I don't really care what anyone says or does because we are all entitled to our own thoughts, feelings and opinions on any matter. Some people like Star Trek, others think it's the dorkiest crap ever. Whatevah!!!!

Im going to change my avatar (again... *sigh*), and I'm going to refrain from feeding into any innuendo laden comments made at me, as I don't like the tone and nature of some of the reactions I have gotten and I don't need my reputation getting marred when I've hardly had a chance to get in to the flow of things or even participate in a fight yet.

Thanks.

Yeah. Um. I'm married? I posted in this thread..but it had nothing to do with hitting on you. In fact... I think I was hitting on J$ anyway...

However...for the record; whenever I interact with women (or teens for that matter) in music and as a fellow musician... I only see musician.

I kinda hope you weren't lumping me in with your assumptive "men hitting on me to bust me balls thing".

Nice balls by the way.

Wait, so you're saying we're not getting married?

:)

As far as anything I've said, yeah, you're dead on- I'm just messing with you to see how you react. I don't hit on strangers on the internet for reals. (I'm a compulsive jokester) Although, the part about you having a great set of knockers was 100% true.

Years later, you can look back on this fondly as getting hazed.

I felt I had to throw in my two cents here

(Please note it is about 1:30 in the morning and instead of sleeping, I'm throwing in my 2 cents about you, Lucid. How the F did you get so privileged?)

If you haven't realized, Lucidia likes to have fun. She came over here after hearing her bandmates (that would be me, Luke & Wren) all talk about the boards so much. Her personality is insane and that's why I like her (and it's bound to make for one interesting lead singer). She's fun, creative, extremely intelligent and quick witted. Things she's not- goth, french, emo, slutty, single (she's got this Aussie Jared Leto guy), or conservative. Where am I going with this? I just hope (and I think she feels the same way) that no one got the wrong impression.

Now with that said, that doesn't mean that we are going to stop having these ridiculous conversations. Trust me- you only know the half of what lead to this poll. There were Golden Girls and firecrotches and there was this one part about Capt. Picard that has ruined ST:TNG for me.

So carry on.

yeah totally, i'm a veteran of internet communities and I know how it works... it's not much different than any new environment and sometimes the new guy/gal just gets a bit roughed up.

and I wasn't saying EVERYONE was making certain comments, as much as, I wanted to be clear that I am not seeking that type of attention, I just don't get offended persay, or make a fuss. I'll probably just joke around back, and maybe even fuel the fire a bit, because it's funny and amusing.

I think it just comes down to the idea that everone finds different things funny and amusing, and some people like to make more "mature" jokes than others, and obviously many people perfer to keep their comments more pg-13, or maybe even pg. the great thing about freedom of expression is that we have the opportunity to express ourselves openly, and I suppose that if someone thinks I have a nice rack and they say so, that's their opinion and I don't begrudge it. And OF COURSE not every guy is staring at my chest and not EVERY guy is automatically chasing me or any other women posting here, since obviously the primary nature of this electronic exchange is competitive songwriting... and anything else that happens as a result is just normal human interaction.

so let the hazing continue or not, I don't care. I can roll with the punches, and I'll be proud to be a contributional member of this crazy little online family someday when i've proven my worth (if and when that happens). I just want people to know that despite my propensity for slightly (okay maybe more than slightly) raunchy humor, I'm just as full of unique personality and intelligence as anyone else might be (or might not be), and I don't want one stupid poll to end up making me out to be something i'm not. maybe no one ever even thought anything negative. I just like to clear things up before they turn into something murky and unsure.

thanks. and yes, i have grand balls. the grandest balls of them all.

Yup. Took her to my job. She went through the metal detector. The guards stopped her only to learn that she's just got a big whopping pair of brass cojones.

Well, y'know, if you don't want a certain kind of attention, don't post polls on the Internet like "Would I make a hot Borg Queen".

I mean really, if you know what kids are like online, that's like chum mixed with honey to them.

If you're not like that, don't act like that, or we'llthinks thou dost protesteth too much.

Personally I've no opinion on the whole hot borg queen thing, I just wish you'd stop referring to goth like it's some kind of insult or something.
