It was fun Nigel, I've never played guitar in a tribal dance number before, it sounds cool.

Marty and I finished a song as the Older Brothers at about 5am. Then this morning my email wouldn't work. I was 90min late for work with no submission. Hopefully the Fightmasters will be kind, and accept our song tonight if I can get the damn thing to attach and send.

Lesson #1: I should not wait until the last day to record everything.
Lesson #2: I should not sing. Ever.
Lesson #3: I should not wait to write the lyrics until immediately before recording them.
Lesson #4: Drum loops that sound like programmed drums kinda suck.
Lesson #5: Building a song from the drums and bass up paints you into a corner where you have to use assjazz chords Sad
Oh man, for my entry this week I did not learn lessons 1-3 and 5. I almost swept.

My "A Woman on Paper" was too much for me this week, but I liked it so I worked on it last night. I'll try (for the first time in years!) to work on it until it feels done rather than until the deadline. Feels like freedom! I'll register with somesongs when it's ready.

My entry for "The Shelton With Sunspots" didn't even have that in the lyrics (although the inspiration was clear), so I don't think anyone's going to ding you. Also, for "I Meant To Remember" I recorded the whole thing with "I Forgot To Remember" -- sweet, sweet irony.

And yeah, mine would have been better with "A Girl On Paper" as well. Poot.

I did "Don't Try" which ended up being one of my better songs, too bad the title that week was "Don't You".

I would hope the deadline for Pink Ribbon would be extended so that A Woman on Paper would get more than 1 or 2 days for reviewing and voting.

If Wednesday is the deadline for reviewing (as in "A Woman on Paper" entries are posted today or something) then I won't be reviewing anyone this week. Got something else to do tomorrow nite and still finishing my "Pink Ribbon" entry.

MHyde

P.S. Why isn't "A Woman on Paper" up? Surely someone doesn't hand code the entry page every week......do they? If so, I could help coding a more "automatic" page if needed.

Actually, fightmasters are dusting off the old multiple fight code so that we can review and vote on both fights at once. The "Woman on Paper" fight will be the pink fight, since pink is such a girly color, and then "Pink Ribbon" will be the red fight, since red is a good color for ribbon.

Does this mean a return to two fights a week? Only Deep Throat knows...

The site is as automated as we want it to be. There is no hand coding on a weekly basis. The problem right now is with the email account, and JB is working on it. They will likely be posted today, and an appropriate adjustment will be made in the schedule.

Cool. Just wondering. I figured it would be automated, but you never know. Thanks for the reply.

Hey, how about red for the "Woman on Paper" as in "the woman in red" and Pink for "Pink Ribbon" because.......nah, you're right. Pink for "Pink Ribbon" makes no sense at all......;)

Man, I wish.

I remember when you could count on a good A title, and a wacky B title.

For a while, or whatever.

HEY MASTERHYDE: THere's no deadline on reviewing, ever.

I like my memories of teenagers pulling their trousers down with their underwear hanging out inappropriately myself. Ah... highschool. Such fond memories.
