After all the hoopla regarding the title should be in the song, as apposed to the title inspiring the song "debate", I decided that I was going to incorporate the title in my entry this week no matter what it is just to prove a point. I'm just not sure if I'm trying to prove something to myself or to the members on the other side of the debate. I almost backed off my goal when I saw Pink Ribbon, but I'm always up for a challenge.

Well, that didn't happen. So let's go ahead and move the deadline for "Pink Ribbon" out until Friday, anyway. That's Friday, January 19. Good Luck.

Word
I started one for this fight, it's turning out awesome, too awesome in fact to be wasted on such a half-arsed title. I'm out - but I'll be mooching around the "hey, I wrote something! hear me emote" thread sometime soon.

Gawking Urethras are in... song has been sent and I received a confirmation email (lest FMs are wondering whether those are going out).

SO glad that the deadline was extended. I have four other songs that I need to finish before I can work on the "Pink Ribbon" entry that Justin and I were trying to knock out. Now I have a prayer of finishing it since it's not due tomorrow.

ROCK!

And we're gunna kick your ass! J/k, or am I? I hope we're gunna kick your ass because, despite a couple of rough spots, I think this is a very strong song. :)

With all due respect, and remember I said with all due respect, you don't stand a chance against Klownhole's entry for Pink Ribbon. It is so not anybody's kind of thing, the dislike will be so universal, that some obscure metaphysical law will be invoked causing everyone to love it. Think rift in time and space. But about rock. Kind of.

I'm putting the final touches on mine right now. This one is a BLT featuring the guitar styling accompaniment of the great Paco. "Billy's Little Stink", if you will, lol. .....Or maybe "Paco Del Tripo"

I have no idea if this relates to a comment I made in reviewing "It belongs to me" but in case it does, I know that I have never said I think the title has to be in the words of the song, just that I want to feel that I if bought a record with this song on it, this title would make sense as the way the song would be listed on the sleeve.
That's all.

My song is finished, submitted, tweaked and submitted again -- under a different name, because it's not good. Not good at all.

However, given the deadline bump (and my wife's insistence that a highly modified version of the song that I sang in the shower today would be "more interesting" than the one I submitted), I may re-record from scratch tonight and tomorrow, and dump the old in favor of the new.

Only, however, if I'm pleased enough with the new one to put my pseudonym
on it.

Some of you were foolish enough to tell me you liked my songs, so I got it in my head that I could write good ones -- and when I wrote and recorded this one, I couldn't bring myself to throw it out, because I abhor waste.

Well, "hoopla" might have been a strong word, lol. But yes, your comments got me thinking about it, as well as some others. So I figured I'd try to fit the mold a little better here to see how it works out. I'm always willing to try anything once...twice if I like it.

OK, I'm in just in time. It's a fun pumping song, so maybe that will eclipse the sarcastic writing on this one, lol.
