haha, yeah. My collabs have all been relatively smooth so far so maybe I was just being chicken with GoM. I keep wanting to post a Dream Collab List but worry what I may be letting myself in for.

For the record, "Good Morning, Captain" is a pretty awesome song.

Rachael still needs a collaborator. If you would like to collab with Rach and I on such short notice, and you haven't done so in the past, send me a pm.

ROCK!

I'm also done. Which is to say I was done by the 7th which I though was the due date checked in, saw it was actually the 17th, checked today saw it was moved back to the 21st. I suppose I could try tweaking the song a bit, what with the extra time I've got and all.

Phil and I would have met the 17th deadline, collaboration and all, but my parents have been in town, making finishing only a little bit difficult. Anyway, we will have the song done by the 21st, actually by tomorrow, but ya know, it won't be posted until the 21st anyway.

Yes, it only needs bass & mixing. Maybe some bg vox.
It is tops, though.

It would have been done today, but we decided that medicine for our sick baby was more important.

That's right, SICK BABY.

Do YOU have the last chance blues? Got the tune but need some vocals? Look no further!!! For the low cost of 3 to 10 MB of bandwidth (6 to 20 both ways), you can get FREE (plus the cost of mixing) vocals for your track. Just send a PM to:
Wages
Pueblo, Colorado

You might be glad you did.

Small Print: Note that if your song is not mainstream, you REALLY should send me your vocal-ready track PLUS the original tune with lyric sheet as I would be doing this in just a few takes over the weekend. Best GoM'in'

I've got my song done, but I just realized I've made no effort to arrange for collaboration on it. Anyone feel like helping out?

I'll tell you what I could use: a guitar solo. It's a 12-bar blues shuffle in A at 172bpm. And it's a short solo, just one 12-bar phrase. Doesn't even have to be guitar. Organ/accordion/trombone/nearly anything at this point will work. :D

in the middle of recording vocals, my setup decided to stop working for no apparent reason. now it's working again, but i'm too annoyed to try again. will give it another shot later. this is making my song even later than it is, but better late than shitty. or with no vocals.

I feel like screaming right now.

I've had this f-ing song mainly done for several weeks now, minus vocals and mixing, etc. I've been doing vocal takes since Monday, and no matter what I do, it sucks. I suck. I am not a singer, never have been, and never will be. I am embarrassed about how this piece of shit song is sounding, and I know it's due tomorrow, and I know I have to turn it in, but I really don't want to.

And since I haven't really bothered to do any mixing/mastering till the vox were done, it is going to sound extra crappy. And my daughter is over this weekend to boot, and I think I should spend some time with her rather than cursing and swearing at an Audition window.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest. This happened to me 2 GoMs ago, too.

For all you people who thought I couldn't play in tune before now, just wait until you hear the new fretless guitar! Consonanse is rolling in its shallow grave by that dark and lonely strip of Route 3 where even the moose fear to cross.

Hooray! The Hell Yeahs are done, despite sickness and computer problems and out of town guests. What's your excuse?

I've been working on this for months. I've got one of the hardest lists (bar none) and I've been struggling. It's the 11th hour and I don't know if I'm gonna make it, plus I'm about to lose my collaborator. So I think I'm out til tomorrow.

But at least my giftgiver understands the dilemma.
