ooohhh.... "THE" songfight live.... well.
I'm still me.
And I want to go to "THE" songfight live... assuming a destination is actually selected, and I have enough time to arrange a visit...
I found Cleveland really pretty. The lake especially, right past the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. When I visited I was a little early, so I strolled down and took a look. The city looked nice too, from what I remember. I don't think Denver area is all that gorgeous. In fact a lot of Denver is very unattractive, but that's the case with most big cities.c hack wrote:If it's gonna be in the middle of nowhere, it should at least be somewhere pretty, like Colorado, or at least an interesting place to visit (like Mississippi (IMO)). Be nice if there was more reason to go there than just SFL.jb wrote:There has also long been talk of a mid-west fight. Most probable would be somewhere in Ohio.
Vegas has lots to do even if you're under twenty-one, but I wouldn't trust JB and the gang to go to Circus Circus over Caesar's Palace or the MGM Grand or whatever to make allowances for the handful of attendees that are underage. I mean buffets are all-ages, but late-night hijinx would almost assuredly be 21+ by necessity. For that reason, plus that there's no local SongFighters there (unless I'm wrong), maybe we should shy away from Vegas for `05.Generic wrote:I like the sound of Cleveland. That said, there are songfighters younger than I, so I think Vegas might be a bad idea maybe.
I think your preconceived idea of Las Vegas is a bit naive. It's not all gambling, prostitutes, and porn conventions. Lots of families vacation there every year. There are all kinds of different entertainment such as plays, magic shows, performance art...heck, thats where The Blue Man Group draws it's largest crowds. I understand that some of the best food in america is served in Las Vegas as well as that roller coaster on top of a high rise hotel.Generic wrote:I like the sound of Cleveland. Alright, so there's a lot of things for underage people to do in Vegas. But seriously, I don't want to travel that far for a SFLive event and then not be able to follow the Songfighters to whatever evening revelries they decide upon, and you're not going to let a few minors get in the way of your fun. Seriously now, if it were in Vegas, you can tell me (and Marcus, and Poncho) all the fun things we can do in Vegas as minors, but the big kids will still be doing big kid things. And from a selfish standpoint, if that's how it's going to turn out, I won't want to go, because I don't want to travel that far alone to be left alone.Hoblit wrote: I think your preconceived idea of Las Vegas is a bit naive.
