1. I can write both the lyrics and music, and have a good singer perform it. The songs may go on to become massive hits (on Songfight), but I will hardly get any of the credit since nobody ever remembers who wrote and arranged the song.

Bernie gets the same money as Elton from performance and mechanical royalties. Bernie is rich beyond our imaginations because of a few songs he wrote "off the cuff" as he himself says. Elton of course has to work very hard for the concert dough, performances from which Bernie gets performance royalties as well.

5900-N5 - Spoon, you somehow always manage to suck me into your crazy world. This is the first time I've heard you use your voice in one of your mixes, or was that some other guys voice? When I get the time, I want to do some insane grungy/electronica song with you after I learn a few more recording tricks.

3. Darkest Daves – This is great. This is what my song was supposed to sound like
4. Carpetburn – Love it. You remind me of the Newtown Neurotics.
5. Anchors – This is very cool – I like it a lot
6. RossDurand – I’m detecting a distinct lift in your (already very fine) game in the last few weeks! You seem to have really taken your production up a notch. This song probably deserved to win this week.

8. Melvin – You sound like Melvin. You never do a bad song – and this is possibly one of your better ones.
9. Fine Tuvan Dining – On first listen I thought this was dumb. Second listen cracked me up. The charm creeps up on you.

They were one of my favourite bands when I was a teenager - and yes, I thought they were only available on vinyl...but google tells me you can now get them on CD - cool - I haven't heard them for years - since my old cassette got chewed (ask your parents what 'cassettes' were)
