The pairs are right up next to each other, like on a 12-string guitar. It's not confusing at all. Basically it ends up being like a normal 4-string except the strings feel wide and flat instead of round and thick, and they make different sounds if you pluck them in different directions.

Anyway. Leaving in 10 minutes to meet at the Octothorpe designated rendezvous point. Then I guess we'll be getting to Portland at like 5-ish or something. Hoorayness!

from now on, no Gin or Ginseng unless specifically requested and it's at a crowd which has more than two geeks in the audience. talk about a song that's difficult for both the performers and the audience...

Wow, excellent show last night! It was great to meet the final half of Primitive Screwheads and of course a special thanks to anti-m who helped me out with Grey Rainbow, she rocks.

Special thanks also to the Washington State trooper who saw me speeding home at 2:00am to try to get into bed and decided not to pull me over. Love ya.

See you tonight!

Did Anti-M play the saw? If so, was it recorded in any way?

Brought the saw, but did not play it. There's always tomorrow! (Figuratively)

(The saw is always available for collabs... you need saw? I give you saw!)

Yeah, I'm imagining saw vs. E-bow, I'm collabing with PD Stinko this weekend maybe we'll hit you up for the saw solo? Are all keys equal on a saw?

If you wanna hear Anti-M rock the saw, you can chcek out XTRG's "Don't Think I Don't Miss You" or her "Other Places That I Lived". She can rock that thing.

Yes, the saw is "fretless" as they say. (and Niv, is, of course, too kind!) Send me your tracks, I'll see what I can do!

Unlikely... But perhaps I'll have a change of heart. It would be fun to see everybody. But, I don't get much vacation time, unfortunately.

(And Atlanta in August?? How about "Songfight Anchorage" instead? That would be a good August destination, methinks.)

Seattle was an awesome end to an awesome venture. I wish I had a bit more time (or perhaps patience) to get my sound going good before I just piled into the set but it was great. Thanks Ken and Spud for backing me up, and also everyone else was totally awesome. Marcus is on my couch right now. Hooray!

My big regret was that while my laptop was able to record practice just fine, I couldn't get Logic to cooperate at the venue itself, so there's no recordings. So we'll just have to remember how awesome it was, and gloat at the people who weren't here to hear the awesome stuff, especially the people who had gotten covered wonderfully (such as Glenn Case, Mintyhandy, and 15-16 Puzzle).
