By the way, for anyone who didn't follow last year, while this is technically true it is really a one week cycle. So day 8 is also the new day 1. I think last year's titles were given on Friday at 10 am. If you count that as day 1, results were given the following Friday at 10 am, which would count as Day 8, but was also the new day 1. So it is a 7 day cycle, but it counts as 8 days since it doesn't begin and end at midnight (pacific time, anyway). I don't know if that clarifies or confuses, but I guess I was compelled to comment).

I'm so excited for Nur Ein II!!!!!

agreed.

It's not like anyone who got the trivia immunity ever used it to miss a round. So, in the interest of fairness and rocking, the immunity challenge goes away.

Judges this year are Glenn, Ken, Ben, Mo and Niv.

Participants so far:
1. Luke Henley
2. Ross Durand
3. Puce
4. Tex Beaumont
5. Rabid Garfunkel
6. NatchDan
7. Sven Mullet
8. Feldspar
9. Denyer
10. Paco Del Stinko
11. Sausage Boy
12. Furrypedro

I thought Ken did?

[edit] I just checked, and I am completely wrong. Sorry for even saying it, Ken. I'm almost positive someone who won immunity used it to not submit a song last year though....

Maybe you're thinking of me, Sven. I had immunity in round 3, and everyone thought I used it to ignore the non-optional challenge. (I didn't, I just eff'd up the mix.)

Looking at the site now, there's no doubt that the 6 people who had immunity all submitted songs.

Hey Niv, are you going to administer the web site again?

Hi All,

I just saw the thread and am happy to be a judge.

It may be my fault that people who won immunity still submitted. I won the first round and set a precedent.

Cover art is my favorite form of musical procrastination (plus I can sneak in working on it while at work, whereas doing music is a nogo... unless I want to sample printing presses and other such machinery).

Let me know if it's kosher to double-dip like that, Niv'. And what you need, size/file/whatever-wise.

Of course it's fine, RG.

When the name comes out, I'll do some quickly made art. And then when the results are in, I'll put up a better made picture from someone else. 400x400 JPG is fine.

I saw this thread last year, but had no idea what was going on. It looks like a hell of a lot of fun and I'd really like to do it, but I'm going to be away from June 6-15 in Spain. Is it still feasible for me to participate?

That's a tough call. Let me think some more about that.....It could be feasible depending on the time frame of the rounds.

Upon further thought...it would take a herculean effort on your part, FBF.

Best case scenario:

By some strange miracle we start the Nur Ein on Wednesday afternoon (highly unlikely), your trip would fall between the 6th and 7th rounds, giving you 3 days to make a song in each round.

The other timeframes are not so forgiving. For example, an April 27th start would mean that you would have only June 5th to give a song for the 5th round. A May 1st start would mean that you would only have the June 16th to put in a 6th round song.

There are some other time frames to look at but upon this preliminary look, it's a very very tough call.

Yo, Melvin and I want to enter as Balance Lost/Balance Regained (instead of individually). Can we do that or is that against the rules?

Spinlock, no worries. If we were to start on let's say....April 27, the first song wouldn't be due until May 4th. You'd still be okay. So welcome to the Nur Ein.
