Well 10am to midday Saturday is when my wife takes my daughter to swimming lessons - and my only window of opportunity to make real noise in the house. So I have to get the title as soon as I wake up and get something on tape within the following few hours or I'm completely shot.rdurand wrote:I was on your side, but...Never complain about the scheduling disadvantage again.Tex Beaumont wrote:Let the hostilities begin!

So tell the truth. Do you get bitched at for screaming into a mic while the wife is home, or do you feel uncomfortable screaming into the mic while the wife is home?Tex Beaumont wrote:Well 10am to midday Saturday is when my wife takes my daughter to swimming lessons - and my only window of opportunity to make real noise in the house. Generally it's the second - though I did scream in the mic while the wife was at home last week and I got the first - so I guess both are right.Billy's Little Trip wrote:So tell the truth. Ok, Ok. I take it back, I guess I'm still on your side - unless you beat meTex Beaumont wrote:Well 10am to midday Saturday is when my wife takes my daughter to swimming lessons - and my only window of opportunity to make real noise in the house. They just don't understand true art.Tex Beaumont wrote:Generally it's the second - though I did scream in the mic while the wife was at home last week and I got the first - so I guess both are right.Billy's Little Trip wrote:So tell the truth. Ha, don't I wish! But I don't have a remote recording rig or a place handy for to be blowing up shit for art. 'Twas merely making fun of the percussion in my last two entries here.Niveous wrote:And RG, if you can rock real explosions, this judge may be swayed.

Had a delicious concept for this percussive entry, but no-one I know is willing to be spanked and whimper/squeal/moan for 3+ minutes... not without a heavy, heavy price, anyway.

I'd call beatboxing conventional now.
Boxbeating is still unconventional, and is <a href="http://beesbuzz.biz/music/songfight/fitm.php">fun to do</a>.
Handclaps are soooooooooo conventional.

I hope that they're not including piano under the category of percussion. If so, I'm hosed.Plat wrote:Don't worry, I think this rules out use of piano too.jolly roger wrote:There goes any advantage I had.

In regards to: "Non-optional Challenge: Unconventional Percussion"
should we explain in our email how we made the percussion noise, or is the end result all you care about?
