Stuck on You
Stuck on You
Only a couple laugh-out-loud moments, but I really enjoyed it anyway. Definitely worth a rental.

Stuck on you
Siamese twins seems such a really weird subject to base a comedy on. Then so is a funeral parlour, and 'six feet under' is brilliant.
I guess rental at some time in the distant future is the best bet.

I second that. 6 Feet Under gets my award as 2nd best TV series ever that I can think of right now, after Band of Brothers, which is tied with Lord of the Rings as DVD I most want to own.Kamakura wrote:...Then so is a funeral parlour, and 'six feet under' is brilliant.

Re: Stuck on you
Band of Brothers is awesome. I just picked it up on DVD from Sams Club because it was damn cheap (new). ok, $69, which is way under the list price. Back in Christmas of 2002 when I was stuck in Buffalo under 8 feet of snow, my dad and I watched the whole thing in like 2 daysc hack wrote: I second that. 6 Feet Under gets my award as 2nd best TV series ever that I can think of right now, after Band of Brothers, which is tied with Lord of the Rings as DVD I most want to own.

I rented Stuck On You a few months ago and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Had those moments in any hollywood comedy that you wish were less dumb and un-funny, but overall they stayed mostly on track, I thought. The requisite love interests and "I-learned-about-myself" stuff aside, of course.
Let cake eat them.

What I liked about Stuck on You was that (for the most part) the two main characters weren't stupid. They avoided the obvious jokes, or when they made an obvious joke it was the characters trying to avoid discussing something painful or awkward so they'd retreat into joking.
And man, Eva Mendez in a bikini.... bonus points.

i just saw it last week... uhm... i liked it... it could've been a little better... but it wasn't as bad as a lot of people made it out to be around here...
i thought it was kinda nice in it's own way...
i think it made it more likable... cause my expectations were pretty low... haha...

I read a couple of reviews that weren't necessarily favorable, but weren't as repulsed by it as I'd expected, and got briefly interested, but it's a low priority for me. One day they'll play it on Comedy Central and I'll catch it.
