Well, if I sent the note off in time I'm in. As far as the time signature changes go...intro in 7/8, verses have two 5/8 measures starting the first and third lines before going to 6/8, chorus is all 6/8, and the break going back into the second verse drops in a couple of 1/8 measures.

So Balance Lost/Balance Regained also defaulted? Or is that an accidental omission in the list of songs?

EDIT: My other questions are about immunity. You don't even have to enter the next round at all if you've won immunity? Can somebody win immunity twice in a row?

If there's anything FurryPedro and I converge on, it's Math Rock. I am beyond bummed if there's no BL/BR track for this challenge in particular.

Yes, BL/BR did not enter a song.
No, it was not an accidental omission.
Yes, you don't actually have to enter a song in the next round if you've won immunity.
???, we have never discussed that before but I can't see why not.

Another great block of songs for round 2. Bryan Kandel made me laugh my ass off.
I officially will never do odd time sig changes again.
....well, unless it comes up as a challenge again, but other than that, neva! But I had fun trying.

If I recall correctly from last year, immune songs were not ranked - ensuring that a different artist was immune for the following week.

I've got another question, hopefully I'm not being annoying here. How many people will be eliminated this time, in light of the three people who dropped out? Still 5? Or only 2? Or some other number?

There will only be 2 eliminations by jury and 3 eliminations have already occured due to the time crunch. Calfborg, Balance and Mr. Lostman join the ranks of Luke Henley*, 15-16 Puzzle, Bolio, Sven Mullet, Steuym, Denyer, Kamakura, The BeWells** and Thornberry*** who have all been eliminated due to the time crunch.

*it's happened to Luke twice.
**the BeWells were only able to record a piece of a song that round.
***history may show that Thornberry had a song in that round but it was an old tune that he just sent because he didn't wanna leave on nothing.

I hope that's not how it goes down this year. At this point in the game I'm more interested in the ranking than the immunity.

Ooh, check out Jimmy Stewart over here, wants to win with integrity, have all the judges rank him.

Clarification on Guest vocals:

May I be guest vocals in TGFTF? I would guess not (you won't hear my voice until we have immunity)

May a current contestant guest vocal for another current contestant?

May a previous contestant be a guest vocalist for a current contestant?

Thanks!

glennny

BTW I guess Glenn Case came up with the title "State of Emergency", I saw he had Joga as a song of the day recently.

Oddly enough, I did not come up with the title, and that's not the reason I chose Joga. A co-worker was showing me a video by Emilana Torrini, and my initial thought was that she sounds like Bjork. That's what lead to me picking my favorite Bjork song that day.

Furthermore, thanks for checking out my blog!

I came up with the title.
No, you can't be a guest vocalist
No cross song pollenation.
Yes, you can use previous contestants.

Do the vocals have to be performed exclusively by guest(s)?

If not, is there some expected "minimum" (e.g. 50%+ of vox by the guest), or is it "at your discretion"?

Thanks!

As always with Nur Ein, I would say that the optional challenges are at your discretion, and interpretation.

Also, at your own risk, of course.

ROCK!

The state of my cover art is as of yet incomplete but I will pull out my emergency (and imaginary) computer art utensils right now.
