Wow, got to work and there wasn't a daily roll call for today.
Question of the Day: What is your favorite thing to COOK. (read: not necessarily eat)
I need time to think about this one. I love to cook.
Anyways, it's Monday... nothing to report. Just at work... I updated GhostTownGridlock.com yesterday with new look. Still under construction though, so don't bother.
Hoblit out so Rone off already.

Quietest day on the Roll Call ever.
I've been quiet because I missed work on Friday and decided that I needed to get some work done today.
Yesterday was a total bust as I spent most of the day either doing laundry or being sick (Cold from hell Day 6) and having the girls blame me for getting them sick. Didn't do the library as planned. Didn't do another edition of The Other Night... but I did introduce the kinderlings to the wonders of Thundercats. Finally they can look at the toys on the living room and understand. I think they enjoyed it since it did rip off Star Wars a good deal and they love Star Wars.
My favorite thing to cook is pancakes. I like cooking breakfasts. I'll never be as good at it as my wife but whenever I get the chance to really cook breakfast, I have fun with and go all out.
Mmm. I just realized that Father's Day is this weekend. That means I'll probably be getting my wife's special cornmeal pancakes. Good stuff.
(BLT, I think I need a happy pancake eating emoticon, do you got one of those?)

I love to cook quesadillas. Practically every time I open my refrigerator and see a tortilla and cheese, I feel compelled to make a quesadilla.
edit: I also just noticed my title as "death pod."
That is awesome. If that's just automatic based on post count, awesome. If someone set it as that, awesome-er.

That's hard.
Either this:
2 chicken breasts, marinated in lime juice, sprinkled with oregano, basil, and whatever else I think of, on a bed of broccoli, with diced garlic sprinkled around it, covered up with foil and placed in the oven at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or until done.
Or this:
Crazy garbage can omelette/breakfast burrito(depending on my ability to make an omelette without ruining it that particular day), including chorizo, ham, cheese(cheddor or pepperjack or both), jalapenos, cerrano peppers, mushrooms, and whatever else is delicious and in my fridge. Of course, I steam the tortilla before I put it in that. And it's a giant tortilla.
EDIT: I just realized I typed "cheddor." I think I'll leave it that way.
Also, I'm going on a date today. To an arcade. With a girl who plays more video games than I do. I play a LOT of video games.

Am I rockin' hard, or hardly rockin'?

I think I’ve decided to let others start the roll call this week. Next week, if I’m up early enough, I’ll start it again. It’s been nice just answering the questions, and not coming up with them. Today is pretty busy at work. We’ve got new people starting today, so I’ve got to get all of their training set up.
Yesterday flew by, since we slept for most of it, but we managed to hang out for a bit after the kids went to bed, so that was nice.
As far as the QotD, I’m not really the cook in the house, more the baker (banana bread, cookies, pie). But, when I do cook, Phil usually requests that I make chicken and rice. I also enjoy making new recipes out of the one cookbook I have. The most successful one I’ve done so far is baked chicken stuffed with Spinach and gouda. Yummy. Now that I brought this up, I bet Phil will want me to make it!

Butter chicken. I made some for my friend who's having a rough time as it's her favourite food to eat. Also, popcorn. The boy scout popcorn you stick in the microwave and it comes out tasting soooo delicious.
As for my daily doings, I haven't really done anything other than fly home to Calgary and nearly call the cops on my friends ex. She said she was upset about him trying to beat her up and I took that as her having had a traumatic night of just pushing him away. I landed at the airport and she's standing there with a black eye and a HUGE bruise all over her left arm. So I've been very angry for the past two days. He's lucky I don't know where he lives. Other than that I've been chillin with my best friend who I haven't seen since last November. It's pretty sweet.

I can't commit to a favorite food to cook just yet, but I did want to mention that as far as cooking professionally (I mean, restaurant work) that Breakfast & Brunches have brought me the most satisfaction. I say this because of other breakfast responses in this thread.
It seems we have spanish cook in the house as well. I too love the chorizo...wait..that didn't come out right...

My favorite thing to cook is Thanksgiving dinner.
I realized this morning that I didn't drink any whiskey at all this weekend, and that made me a little sad.
STUFFED CHICKEN! DO IT!
Talkin' show is already done for today, and that's FRESH. We're gonna run up to ACE Hardware in a little bit to get a hose and some WD-40.
For the bedroom.
I mean, for a sprinkler in the yard & for our squeaky screen doors.
The kids got some bathing suits yesterday, and it's my job to make sure they aren't water soluble.
Spencer is trying out Super Mario World on my DS. He's gotten so good at vidja games lately, and I think SMW is a good aptitude test.

My favorite things to cook are:
1. Improv stir fry... including whatever is around, and spices, and some sort of sauce, never the same twice.
2. Omelets. Tho I have become lactose intolerant so the cheese is becoming a problem. Any ideas?

Another day in pair of dice
Feel'n square, but feel'n twice
The Monday running around routine
Getting the week ahead set up
Phone calls
Writing numbers and words on paper
Writing appointments in my day planner
I won't show up on time to most of them
Can't believe I've been reduced to a day planner
I was supposed to be living on my own island by now
Day planners weren't in that particular overall design
QOTD:
I love to cook. As far as the way you worded it, I don't think I'd cook anything that I don't like to eat myself. I guess if I did it professionally, it would be a different story. Well, with the exception of a special food for someones birthday, but I like most things.
My most requested:
BBQ Beef Ribs - There is around a 6 hour process from start to the grill. My sauce is my own blend, but quite often use Sweet Baby Ray's "original" because it's the closest to mine. Apple wood and hickory is my smoke for my beef.
Peach Cheese Cake - My cheese cake recipe uses 4 8oz. cream cheese paks and 4 eggs, so it is thick and creamy. No lemon! A cup of the mix is put in a separate bowl and I mix in a peach liqueur, then after the main mix is in the spring form pan, I swirl in the peach liqueur mixture. My crust is traditional graham, but with chopped macadamia nuts and brown sugar. Always cooked in a water bath and done ahead of time so it is chilled preferably over night, but at least 8 hours. A little bit of the peach liqueur also goes in the peach topping. Although I use fresh peaches and sugar to make my peach glaze for my topping, I will easily substitute fresh frozen peaches and quite often do. I also will use doctored up peach pie filling from a can. Not as fresh tasting but a HELL of a time saver.
I have a lot of things I cook pretty good, but most are grilled. I'm a BBQ'n guy. I like to crank up the tunes in the back yard, get drunk with my family and friends and cook over fire.
Live, Love, Rock......and Eat
Wolfgang would be proud.

Lactaid doesn't really seem to work. Or maybe it works a little, but not much. This is also cramping my style.

The chicken: so versatile. I make a good pizza from scratch with flour, yeast, kneading and all that stuff. No machines. Try putting a dash of garlic powder or chile/cayenne pepper right into the flour. And you have to use bread flour, not all-purpose. That'll give you the crispy English muffin type crust. Favorite topping has to be mushroom but if there are any green chiles in the house, throw'em on.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.
