How about another cornballer from the Stink:

QOTD - Do you have, or have you had, an odd/inapproriate crush on anyone? Interpret as you wish, but I mean like a cousin, priest, politician, etc.

I stop breathing every time I see Suzanne Malveaux on CNN http://www.cnn.com/CNN/anchors_reporter ... zanne.html. I can hardly stand the news anymore, but I always look for her when the TV is on. Brains, class, and good looks - nothing that I possess. sigh.

Today I re-arrange my recording studio. The Capsule, as I call it. It has to be done like one of those puzzle things where you can only move one square at a time to line them all up for the picture at the end. Gotta be done, though.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

Ugh.

Last night I got hit with a stupid computer virus. A ton of ad-ware littered my computer making it the last time I use Internet Explorer at home. I stayed up late trying to clear it all up. My AVG wasn't doing the job so I used the combined team of Ad-Aware and Search & Destroy. They got rid of much of the problem but still some remains and I'm struggling to figure out what I've missed. Maybe I need another program with a deeper scan or a biggest virus registry?

Today, my work teammate is out sick so I've got double duty and to add to that, the receptionist is out today. When the receptionist is out on a Wednesday- guess who becomes receptionist for half a day? Niv. So today is sucking in a huge way so far.

But at least before all the computer stupidity I was able to finish the third edition of The Other Night I Dreamt Of Knives. http://www.newzeromusic.com/knives/knives6-12-07.mp3

As for inappropriate crushes, I'm stumped on that one.

QotD: I've been infatuated with several video game characters, especially Vivian from Paper Mario and Midna from Twilight Princess. They're just so cute! I've also had crushes on various coworkers.

DRC: I went to bed early tonight and thus woke up early this morning. It's 7 and I'm already showered. Knowing me I'll just fritter my morning away and still somehow end up getting into work at 10 without having had breakfast.

Clarifying-question of the day: What does it mean for you (you=person answering question) to have a crush? Be specific. Also, make it hot.

I'm inflatuated with <a href="http://www.ghosttowngridlock.com/mp3s/GTG-MySister.mp3" target="resource window">my sister</a>.

Actually, I do and have had very innapropriate crushes (at least one that met with success) that I can't divulge here or anywhere in public.

Wednesday: truckin' right through this week. Band practice tonight, working on new songs. Monday was cancelled because guitarist got off work late.

IF anybody wants to help with album title suggestions for our <a href="http://www.ghosttowngridlock.com/music.asp" target="Resource window">new album</a>, then please email us with ideas:
gtg AT ghost town gridlock DOT com (one contigious sting in actual email format) We sort of want it to reflect Tampa or the Tampa Bay area but are not necessarily married to that idea. Difficulty: short and sweet.

Busy day because I umm, frittered?, my day away yesterday.
Usually I just flounder
In fact, that's what I thought I was doing
But after realizing I had an option...
I absolutaly prefer pastries over fish
From this day forth, I shall fritter
Sometimes I tinker, which is more productive
But when tinkering ends in nothing...
It becomes frittering

QOTD:
I had a huge crush on a local actress, Tricia Cast. Probably because we used to hang out at the same Tower Records at the sames time and we were always looking through the same genre. We talked about music a lot, because she was also in a band and played bass. She was small time and just plays in soap operas. At the time, she was on a TV show with Jason Baitman as his bitchy sister, but I can't remember the name off hand. That's what I recognized her from. I didn't notice until about the second time we talked.
When I realized it was her, I started going out of my way to be at Tower Records at the same time she was, which was always the same time. I'd act like I didn't see her, and let her say hi first and stuff. I was putting way too much focus on the whole thing and I started feeling creepy. I wanted to ask her out, but couldn't get up the courage. Then one day I said we just had some band shirts made and told her I want to give her one and asked her size and what time will she be here tomorrow (as if I didn't know). Maybe it was the way I said it, but I still remember her look at me, like I was a stalker or something. She never came back to Tower Records, or she changed her schedule to avoid me, lol.

1. I'm totally tinkering today, hopefully it won't turn into frittering. Actually, it'll probably end up officially being FRITTER for just today. Perhaps my tinkering to frittering will turn into producitve by the end of the week.

2. That really, deeply saddens me. It really does.

Thinking more about the question, I really shouldn't flirt with the paralegal in the outside bar, but I can think of worse ways to pass the time.

Another hectic day! It is pretty near the weekend now, which is exciting. I'm going to a fancy dress party on Saturday night. Going as Logan (Wolverine, just in jeans and a leather jacket, rather than a tight one-piece) and I'm going to finish my claws off tonight.

QotD:
I don't think any of my crushes have been inappropriate. It only becomes inappropriate when you show up naked in their bed, and their spouse is standing there looking at you with a puzzled face.

There are now as many managers on my project as developers.

Also: tomorrow I turn 29. Which makes my QotD answer all the more depressing. (Because those are RECENT crushes.)

A slightly early Happy Birthday to you, fluffy. :)

It's been a long day. I'm trying to get my studio reorganized. I'm getting a lot of noise from my new PC, a problem I didn't really have with the last one. And my new guitar has some intonation issues that I can't seem to address. So, right now, nothing much is working. I think it's time for a beer, and maybe I'll hit the hay early. Tomorrow I'm playing a Bike Week show with the band. Should be a rowdy (and late) night.

QotD: Sure. Who hasn't? No details, though.

Yes, that's it! You rock. She wasn't totally hot, but she was cute. Plus she had a very out going personality and she liked to talk.
Wasn't Nina a soap opera roll she played? I should look her up on Google to see if she's in anything these days.

Holy Crap, I had a chance with Tricia Cast and I blew it, check this out.
I decided to Google her to see what she's up to. This is from her wiki:
From 1989 to 2000, Cast was married to Jack Allocco, one of the music supervisors for the program. Cast is currently married to Bat McGrath, whom she married on July 20, 2000
She married two different Musicians. See, she never got over me. :P

Hi everyone. Once again, I'm arriving late to the Roll Call... "here"

I had a weird day. Last night I didn't sleep very well, worrying about my interview and all. I got up early for the bus this morning, up at 4:45 am. I had to dress nice today for my interview, no casual summer for me. I didn't have much work to do, a hour and 1/2 of training someone, but otherwise, not much. So, I spent all day, totally tired and wanting to just fall asleep, waiting for my interview at 3:00.

My interview seemed to go well, I had already met the two HR poeple who interviewed me. I feel that I had good answers to the questions I was asked. If I make it to round two (why wouldn't I, I kicked ass), I'd be interviewd by the Registrar and her cronies, the Assistant Registrars, maybe my manager and some peers. Man, they're putting me through the ringer! I'm not worried about being interviewed by the people in my department. I'm pretty confident that I'll get the job... trying not to get too sure of myself or cocky.

I didn't really get to talk to Phil about my day today and that kinda bummed me out. I was so f'n tired when I got home. Phil, the tiredest man on earth, let me take a nap. I didn't really sleep for various reasons (kids loud, sun in my eyes, itchy), but it was nice to close my eyes and not fight awakeness. Phil is nice to me.

QotD:

I haven't had many crushes in my life... I don't really think any of them were too "inappropriate"... unless you consider girl crushes inappropriate, then the answer would be yes.

I'm gonna fall asleep soon. I'm just taking a little bit of time to unwind before I hit the hay.

Yeh, I wish i could have been more of an ear about the interview an stuff. hopefully we can catch up tomorry.

today me an the kids met my dad at the movie theater to see Surf's Up. It was pretty good, you know, as far as that sort of movie goes. Some good yuks. the preview for the new hairspray had me & the old mans eyebrows raised. allison did very well for her first movie. Then we went and clowned at target for a spell. got ovaltine for the kids, bacon for me, a transformer for spencer, and a tiny purse for allison. fun times! plus, dad got a hot wheel of the 60's t.v. batmobile. it's fuckin' sweet.

work is dumb, shit is wack, niss n' nat, fuckity fuck. i am hot and it smells like adhesive and mildew in here. i should be playing guitar and drinking whiskey & crystal light, but instead i am slopping sign shit and cursing third tier greek gods (and occasionally their roman counterparts.)

I call anyone who's ever been on a soap opera by their soap name. This mostly only applies to Nina and Danny Romalotti.
