Heh, I was about to ask what the hell that was all about because it had too many words and not enough pictures. But I decided to start reading and as usual, became engrossed in moving the mouse around and watching the little colors wiggle on the map if I went real fast. Then by mistake I clicked on one and enjoyed what appeared. So after checking out some bands, I figured I'd do more mouse stirring, and BAM, clicked on another cool section. J$ is cool and I like his voice. More stirring and BAM, # shirts, neato.
Cool!

By the way, caught the show Niveous. Awesome song line up. And no, I don't think you lost any street credz for the Kelly Clarkson song. Had it not been for you playing that song, Id never have listened to it. Had I never listened to it, I'd never have heard Kelly all nice and dirty. That song rocks. That would be great if she told the pop fans to kiss her ass and went all Cortney Love on the world. I stll wouldn't pay for her music, I just like it when stuff like that happens.
Also, it was a nice surprise to hear Battle Of Mice, and I got a chuckle again about the Fleetwood Mac reference. Fun show.

Yes, I am well accustomed to the sound of gun fire at this point. I don't hear gun shots too often here in Tampa, but it does happen. I vaguely remember that evening Roy. I live in a great neighborhood here but sometimes some of the riff raff about about a mile away drift into this neighborhood and I live on the very last block of it.

I heard gun shots all the time in Atlanta. I lived basically on the corner of Ponce De Leon and North Highland. (there's actually a seniors home there but I sort of lived in an apartment building behind it) Most of those shots were probably APD but sometimes I didn't hear sirens so...

I'd love to live in Brooklyn but I'd prefer to live intown. Every Summer. However, I can't generate that kind of money and I wouldn't survive a New York winter.

Tweaker upstairs neighbor broke in (through the bedroom wall) a coupla-few years back. Can't find the thread that I posted the pictures in. 200+ dvds, odds & ends. Left the musical instruments & gear alone, for which I don't know if y'all should be grateful for or not

I think thats because it's easier to unload CDs without suspicion and they're easier to carry and transport in a hurry.

Hey Niv, you are ahead of your time. This morning on my local news, they were making a big deal about Kelly Clarkson leaving her management because they don't like her musical direction which doesn't include pop rock. Her new management is Reba McEntire's husband, Narval Blackstock, as her personal manager to help her do music her way. Not sure what this means, because now she's represented by a Nashville based company.
Her label Sony, was disgusted by her "raunchy" dark lyrics and told her to follow their rules they set in front of her. They told her to scrap the album she has been working on for the past 18 months and start over.

I should add that these were quotes they read, but I'm going off of memory. I don't know the details of this whole thing and I hardly care, but I thought it was interesting the day after you played it on your show.

That's awesome. It really is. The "My December" album is a huge step away from her AI stuff. There's a couple of songs about drinking; lots of rock guitars; F'N Mike Watt...this is a rock album and Sony wanted a pop album. And she fought it. She wanted a rock album. She wanted an album with darker lyrics. She took a risk of alternating her AI audience by making an album that she wanted. More power to her.
