Day 1: Actually got off to a pretty good start. Let's see if that will happen past today.

Well after flogging the GnG (Guy and Guitar) genre. I would like to champion the GnCO genre. The irony of using a chuch organ on a song entitled Ottoman is not lost on the Captain, oh no.

I'm just hoping no one pulls off a cheesy "Otto, Man" joke, like what Bart calls the bus driver on the Simpsons. That was just be head-hangingly shameful.

It would figure that the first fight I decide to partake in is the one subject that has me completely stumped.

Originally, I had thought of something like the Ottoman Empire in History, but I trashed it when I couldn't think of anything interesting to say about it.

ah, no. that scene is actually a fictional representation of sparta which is in greece. 300 was based on a battle that took place 480 BC in greece fighting the persian empire, not the ottoman empire. the ottoman empire started around 1299 AD. istanbul became the capital of the ottoman empire in 1453. but facts don't matter, right? this is songfight.

Either way, they sure know how to build a nice hole. But they really should have rails around that thing before someone falls in.

Today was my writing/recording day, and it's in. Be prepared to have your teeth kicked in by some hard rock, as well as my best mix yet.

I'm nearly done with mine. The song I put on the tracks is not nearly as much fun as the song I hear in my head, but it's a new experience to compose for a singing voice, and to sing. I figure I can only improve, as getting worse is unlikely.
