I guess I"m having one of those days. I sat right down and wrote out some 'potential' lyrics. They always seem to get adjusted when I start to write the music, but I like what I came up with.

In my head, I got an idea of the song style. Kind of a maud "Brand New" from the Deja Entendu CD.

What was the first song played by my jukebox at work this morning: "So Weird" by Veruca Salt.

A jukebox at work, huh? Cool. Do you work in a tavern or a soda fountain?
...what?

Not an actual jukebox. Oh, how I wish it was. Just a Windows Media Player with a 1000 songs on it.

Yeah, Im thinking early 90s punkish, pixie-ish kind of vibe. Maybe Devo/Detholz-ish. Just no "She's" So Weird(s) please.

Sometimes, but to preserve her anonymity she uses the pseudonym "Hoblit." Don't tell anyone!

I came up with a chord progression and I think it might already be a famous song, but I can't figure out which one. So I'm going to go ahead and submit it, and find out from the reviews what song I'm copying. It's not like the actual composer is going to sue me or something.

Incidentally I am writing a song for this title. It is about something that pisses me off rather more than it should. As a grumpy old man, I love to complain about the most harmless things, so there is an excellent chance that it will actually get completed. Lucky you!

Incidentally I too am writing a song for this title. It is a love ballad, encompassing the entire history of man's struggle for salvation against the blackened, bitter oppressor that is life.

Or it's about string cheese.

Or not.

Merriam-Webster says "by way of interjection or digression : by the way" which is exactly what I meant when I said it. I can't speak for the other dude though. He's probably not as smart as I am, but there's always a chance.

Hmm. I think I've got some ideas for this one. I'm working on the track. Maybe something about my fingers turning into pellet guns.
