I know I've already congratulated you, but I have to say it again - congrats! Best of luck to you and Rone in this endeavour.

I couldn't find the Rone cover in the Melvin Artist archive. Anyone have a link? I'd like to hear how it could even be possible to top the original version.

By the way, if Rone is going to drink champaign, he better get his drivers license in case they card him.

Knock'um dead guys.

edit: heh, Renwick beat me to it. I was taking one last look around the site before I hit submit.

It's true: Leaf really does "concurr." I've seen him do it. IN FRONT OF PEOPLE.

Awesome - does this mean I have to go see it? Or will it be enough to buy the sound track :-)

Yep, this kicks ass. Kick some ass! I normally wouldn't be into a Tom Green movie, but now I'll probably definitely check it out.

I keep thinking about Melvin's "We All Need Love" and thinking man, that song would be sooo good in a snowboarding, surfing or skateboarding flick, it just goes so well, between the heavy guitar verses and the ethereal chorus. It's like musical representation of a screaming slalom, and then catching mad air.

Right on! It's about time, actually, Melvin your songs are so infectious, well written, and catchy. Yeah!

Some of your songs might have been hit or miss for me,
But the amount of effort behind them can’t go unnoticed.
Congratulation on your hard work and talent getting some major recognition.

Wow! Melvin I'm so proud of you. You totally deserve this. Your songs are consistently awesome. It sounds like those Hollywood execs are getting a deal this time, but its all about exposure at this point. Who knows, maybe yours will be another "Mad World" story. That song made it big by being included in the Donnie Darko soundtrack. That was a cover, but very well produced and with an original take on the concept. I bet the producer would consider including new versions of the songs if you think they need improvement and did the work. I have to say that your entries are generally pretty tight as-is, and I never seem to get snagged on any production details as a listener.

Awesome!

Geez, I'm really blown away by all the positive comments and support I've received over this! Thanks to all of you for the well-wishing. And sorry for giving you a reason to watch a Tom Green movie. Feel free to wait for the DVD. :)

Dude. Wasn't Tom Green married to Drew Barrymore one time? That means you're only one degree of separation away from making love to Drew Barrymore. Which means that I, as a songfighter...

SQUEE!
