Please, can we vow not to do the Incubus thing where they turn Anomoly into "Anna Molly".

I vow not to do that. In fact, I vow not to write a song for this title at all!

I just learned a large chunk of Skillet's 'falling into black', so my guitar is in drop B still. I think a downtuned guitar is perfect for a metal title like this.

I'm going to try my hardest to sound like actual music on this one.

I have a little too much blues in my bones to do pure metal, but I'm a gonna do the proto-metal fuzztone thing in... wait for it... drop *A* tuning.

Definitions of Anomaly on the Web:

deviation from the normal or common order or form or rule
a person who is unusual
(astronomy) position of a planet as defined by its angular distance from its perihelion (as observed from the sun)
wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

Anomaly is a metal band enjoying increasing popularity. Its members all hail from Malta, but it has a fan base that extends even to the United Kingdom. Formed three years ago, Anomaly underwent various changes in style and members until finally settling down to the band it is today — six music lovers all writing music in a progressive rock vein.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anomaly_(band)

so maybe the anomaly would be to write a non-metal song, possibly a wooden song or a plastic one? ;)
what?

Oh hell, you did not just go a tone lower.

Man, I got new guitar strings. Know what this means? Low-ass tunings.

I tried to write something, but it's just not coming out yet. Maybe in a few days I'll be inspired.

I'll go metal on this one. Maybe like a folksy, main stream, punkish, funky, hard rock kind of thing.
....or I'll just play the piano and sing.
