Konichi Songfighters, it's Roll Call.
There are many big things in the Niviverse right now. But I have only a few minutes before I play receptionist so I will talk about them later but I wanted the privilege of coming up with today's question of the day.
QotD:
If you could create a Songfight tour, which three Songfight artists or bands would you put on it?
Example-
My dream Songfight tour would be headlined by Pumpkin Buzzard with opening bands Wreckdom and Klownhole. Oh, the horrors that would come of that.

QotD: Again, falling back on my newbie credentials, I haven't heard enough of everybody to truly appreciate everything everyone's done, but so far, I've been most impressed by Mostess and Melvin, so they'd both definitely make my list. I'm not quite sure the third...

I personally would tour with Shot Pounder and The Hell Yeahs. BLT would have to open, because if we tried to follow them, it would be like taking valium for the audience. We'd actually be the quiet ones for once.
If I was sitting in the audience, I'd want to see something with a little substance in a small venue, like some guy and guitar. Luke Henley, Wes Davis and The White Hat would be a nice show. Also, for some smart and humorous music, Octothorpe would be fun to see. So I'd want to see #, Paco Del Stinko and Caravan Ray/Tex Beaumont. Then for some old school rock and roll. King Arther, Ross Durand and Jim Tyrell.
I'm sure more will come to mind as I'm driving around today.
I also would love to see Niveous's show with Pumkin Buzzard, Klownhole and Wreckdom.

QOTD:
Purely on "How much fun will I have":
-JBB(backed by drunk Jefff, Ken, PFM, etc etc). WWNMOIS and FF would have to be played.
-Caravan Ray(at minimum as drunk as he was when he performed the live fight last year).
-Mostly Harmless(with a 2 minute long bagelbagel solo).
All very fun dance-y music. And I would demand that those in attendance could not sit down and had to groove it out the entire show.
Today we went to a shady building in Philadelphia to get our photos, signatures, and fingerprints done for our greeeeen cards! Depending on how long it takes, I may be able to work by this winter which will be super awesome. (Also it will make applying to college a billion times easier, woo!) Yay progress!

QotD: I'd love to have me, Paco del Stinko, and Jim Tyrrell together on a train for a three or four week road trip, with a big ol' Pullman car outfitted as a recording studio. We might stop and do a few shows here and there or we might not, but we'd make some music!
So today was gonna be a visit to the doctor for mom in the morning, then some time at home, and then back to mom's for dinner this evening, but after her doctor's appointment, she was feeling kinda weak and woozy, so I wound up just hanging out at her house most of the afternoon (she's okay, mostly just had too much coffee yesterday and didn't sleep well and then the heat got to her). One little run over to the library and a quick trip to the grocery store (what has happened to the cost of milk the last couple weeks???? it's more expensive than gasoline!).
Trying to squeeze in a little job hunting stuff every day, too, even if it's just reading about "the perfect resume" or something. My sister-in-law did some polishing on my resume for me last night... trying hard to come up with something impressive that's not the proverbial ten lies...

Yeah, everyone's fine here. I was downtown Minneapolis when it happened, at happy hour with my friend. Trying to get out of downtown was hard with all of the emergency vehicles and traffic and looky-loos and such. I had to go across a different bridge to get out. What an ordeal and a catastophy.Bjam wrote:Bridge collapse in MN during rush-hour
Redmons, you live in MN, right? You guys all alright?

I originally put you three together. But I moved Paco over to the # and Caravan Ray tour because of the humor factor, and moved Ross into your tour because you guys tear up the old rock like no one else. Of course I'd want to see a grand finale with all three of you at the end of the show all doing "Southern Cross" << I'm not kidding people, listen to this and tell me that you don't hear Charles, Ross and Jim doing this song.king_arthur wrote:QotD: I'd love to have me, Paco del Stinko, and Jim Tyrrell together
edit: actually, I think I do hear John in there too.
