Melodies that have one note repeated alot of times in a row
1) What song am I thinking of? It's very droney, and the melody doesn't change much, and the chorus ends in something like "I want to rip her apart"
2) I'm looking for songs that have melodies that use the same note many, many times in a row, like Ca Plane Pour Moi. I'm not looking for songs featuring people who speak-sing, rap or scream. I'm not looking for songs that have melodies with only 3 or 2 different notes in them. It has to be a song with a melody where one note gets repeated alot (more than say, the beginning of Helter Skelter). Do you know any?

The One Note Samba is the first thing that came to mind. Stereolab did an interesting version of it on Red Hot & Rio. I'll see if I can find a link. Stay tuned.
Edit: Here's a neat version.

For my junior recital in college, I sang "Ein Ton" by Peter Cornelius. The entire song is sung on one pitch. Surprisingly, it's actually a pretty dramatic song.
[edit] I found the old recording. Dang, my voice was uneven back then. (discreetly avoids saying whether it's gotten better since then).

I believe it's called "I'm in Tune" from Who's Next.frankie big face wrote:The Who have a song like that--can't remember the title. They're actually singing about the note, like "I'm singing this note cause it fits in well with the chords I'm playing" or something. I'm not particularly fond of the song.

I was making a CD for a friend, who likes to improvise one-note songs. The songs that I put on the CD were: "The Fall" by Peter and the Wolf, "End of the World as We Know It" by REM, "Mr Brightside" by The Killers, "Ca Plane Pour Moi" by Plastic Bertrand, "Numb" by U2, "Tear You Apart" by She Wants Revenge, "Bound for the Floor" by Local H, "All My Life" by Foo Fighters, and "Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)" by Reunion. Thanks all.
