Muse

Anyone else dig these guys? I've always liked really epic music, so that's why these guys pump me up so much. Sword fighting music, without a doubt.

I've heard many good things about Muse, as several of my bandmates are big fans. I can't say I've checked much into them though.

Maybe we should have a Muse coverfight.

I really dig Muse. Dom Howard is one of the best rock drummers around.

I hate Muse so much. Movie trailer pop music, what the fuck. They're worse than the 28 Days Later soundtrack!

I liked the 28 Days Later soundtrack... You need epic music if you are gonna fight zombies.

i don't mind muse.

Super Massive Black Hole is a killer song.

But some of their stuff is like being raped in the ear with a wooden cock.

I like Muse, but I find it gets kind of same-y after awhile. They do have a few outstanding songs though.

Or being fisted by a very angry midget?

I agree with Luke on this one. I like to think of Muse as U2's little sister.

Also MC Wino, I don't see MD 20/20 anywhere in your profile pic. You have to represent the Mad Dog, the official bum wine.

i think muse is better then U2. I friggen can't stand U2. Bono makes me want to shoot myself.

and the reason the mad dog is not in the picture is cause i was pounding it while i was taking the picture.

Origin of Symmetry = Best album ever. Not really, but damn is it good.
The rest of their albums = Meh, with the exception of the song Knights of Cydonia, where they finally drop all pretense and pick up Queen's torch.

But I'm biased for flamboyant operatic rock with huge riffs, so, you know.

i would be down. they're a bit radiohead-lite for my liking generally, but that doesn't stop them from having a few excellent songs.

Fittingly enough a Muse coverfight might get me recording again.

Do you hate them because they are pop[ular]? Or because their songs are used in movie trailers (aka used commercially)? Or is there some other reason you don't like them, perhaps something having to do with the preformance or songwriting? The reason I ask is because the answer might save me a little time when reading fight reviews.

Also, all I remember from that movie was Brian Eno and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

For what reasons?

Just curious to see how people review bands.
