Heh, not a lot of overlap in those lists.
Gonna talk about tv shows only. Again, INPO.

Simpsons
The Tick
Hmmm... let me put Cowboy Bebop, unless I think of something I want to list more.

I don't count anime as cartoons. Thankfully. Otherwise, I'd never, ever narrow it down to three.

Current choices:

Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Family Guy
Sealab 2021

I count anime as cartoons but don't count The Simpsons or South Park as cartoons (its my bloody list - I can be a randomly illogical as I like). Therefore:

1. Roger Ramjet
2. Kimba the White Lion
3. Duckman

----------------

...and Caravan Harriet would like to vote for Teletubbies - which, of course isn't actually a cartoon - but she's only 5 months old and it's all just colour and movement as far as she's concerned. Brighlty coloured blobs making high-pitched noises seem to be just the sort of thing she's into.

holy crap, you've seen that?(*)
there was a KtWL video in a box of cheap used kids' movies my mom bought for my daughter a couple years ago, and it was umm pretty strange. besides the animation being sub-par and the plotline being sketchy and the voices being ridiculous, i have to say the worst feature of the cartoon is the theme song, which is guaranteed to stick in your head for weeks. in fact, damn you for even mentioning it because of course now i am thinking about the theme song again!

:x

(*) edit: by the way, maybe it was shown on australian tv or something, i don't know. my astonishment in that first sentence was due to the fact that nobody i know has ever heard of that show.

No, the theme song was the best bit of it - and it will stick in your head for more than weeks - try 35 years.

Kimba was very popular on telly here some 30 or so years ago. It was very much 'my favourite show' when I was a little tacker.

Go to any party where there is a number of 30something Aussies and sing "Who lives down in deepest, darkest Africa.....", I'm prettey sure you'll get a rousing chorus of people joining in

My 12-year-old self wants to pipe up and exclaim that you are all douche-bags and that it's obvious that the best cartoons ever are:

1. GI Joe
2. Thundercats
3. The Transformers

My 9-year-old self has thrown a slushball at 12-year-old JB and declares:

"Retard! Superfriends! Duh!"
blippity blop ya don’t stop heyyyyyyyyy

Probably. Big, red hairy fellow with sneakers? I just loved the scene during which bugs was playing...er... beauty consultant/manicurist. Haven't actually seen that one in years, even now, just the thought of makes me smile. But then, Bugs always did get the best lines. And the groucho impression at the end? Classic. 8)
