Bed 'n Breakfast - My First Official Album!
In regards to one-man-banding it, did I not send you videos of me doing exactly that? xD Backing tracks are pretty accepted, it's just a matter of figuring out which guitar to remove, removing it and then playing along.
Also, I'd buy but I have no card and paypal is not accepted, which is a bummer and the reason I've passed over CafePress for my own stuff before.

Having a full band is always the ideal - f'rinstance, I'm fine producing music on my own but the whole idea of Take950 is to make it a band, with the individual nuances and such on the recording. Live, a band is even better - if you're solo, you can find yourself struggling to find ways to stay interesting during instrumental sections. All that said, I still like my current live setup. It's an adequate stand-in.jolly roger wrote:Yes, Natchdan - I watched the videos, and they sounded and looked great. However, I've always thought it would be cool to have a band playing my music with me. I think live shows are a long way in the future though, so I guess we won't know what I do for a while.

I always thought it was pawn off. But I guess you're handing, said sap, the over rated item deceptively, from your palm to the saps palm.sausage boy wrote: Thats why I made up the 200 CDs to palm off on poor, unsuspecting saps. Not everyone is up with this internet music thing, and just shoving a pretty disc at them and sending them on their merry way is an acceptable solution.

....I'm sticking with pawn.

Mr Snag was correct in saying "palm off". "Pawn" is never used like that in Australian English. "Pawn" is used as a verb referring to giving goods to a pawnbroker in exchange for cash. Or it is a noun referring to the chess piece.Billy's Little Trip wrote:Ha, thanks Teach. Sounds like they both work.
I'd be interested in knowing which version is most used by both Americans, and non Americans, here at SF.
I, as stated above, use Pawn Off.
Palm off sounds like you are giving the unsuspecting mark a load of knuckle children.
Personally though, I would use the term "palm off" more to describe successfully avoiding someone I didn't want contact with, similar to "brush off" - derived from a "palm-off" in rugby, where the ball-carrier may attempt to avoid being tackled by pushing away his opponents face with the palm of his hand. Sausage Boy however is a Crow-eater, so that usage is probably foreign to him.

Pawn off sounds like you should be getting a little bit of cash, while palming off sounds like you're slipping something off of your palm. Or maybe a brand name for unwanted gropings:"New Palm-Off! Keep your bosses hands where they belong, ladies! Priest problems? Try our new junior size!"
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

whoa whoa whoa... i didn't come here to learn anything. Less talk on verbs and nouns and whatnot.
I think over analysing anything I say may be detremental to your health.
The intention was to give the CDs an air of utter worthlessness, as I am sure they are. Future archeologists will did up old Sausage Boy albums and burn them as fuel for their flying laser cars. And robot sex partners.
Actually, I wouldn't want a robot sex partner powered by sausage.
