QoTD: Drug of choice: alcohol, prescription, psycho-delic, Mary Jane, etc?

Alco and Mary are acceptable. I smoked Salvia a few times, but never again! Quit tobacco 3 years & 4 months ago.

I've got an idea for History of My Broken Heart. Initially it was going to be a country song, but I wasn't feeling it, so instead its one of those Southern Rock type songs. I've got V1 & Chorus written and basic melodies laid out. For better or worse, I think its got a very commercial sound, or at least it will if I can get a polished recording. I will probably be seeking a collaborator after a little more work on it.

Well, its off to work for a couple hours. Gotta fix a big problem (easy fix), send a promotional email to customers, and do some data entry. Happy days!

...and I'd like to get to Hardee's for breakfast before 10:30 when it switches to lunch. Peace

Today doesn't exist!!!

EDIT: It seems that it's no longer "August 36th".

I'm having a Sunday where it's chore day. Other than that I'm having one of those days that where you look at the forum and wonder- what is it about an internet forum that makes everything think they have to be funny? So many people come onto a board like this and have to try and yuck it up. Is this some malfunction of our society that makes us desire to be life of the party, regardless of a need for one. Or is a board like this a place where a social retard a place where they can dream up a second life? Or is this really the way their personalities run? Do these people really feel the need to be "funny" all the time, victims of some delusion?

Enough waxing philosophical about internet forums. I've got more chores to do.

Heading out on the honeymoon today :D http://www.sylviabeachhotel.com/ Guess the room and win absolutely nothing, heh. Life's really damned good.

QOTD: Being alive. Though drink ain't bad, either.

Beats me, Niv. Maybe forums are a place where people can be who they want to be, even if only for the ephemeral moment of a single post.

Stuck at work... the job in which I'm down to one day a week...it's easy enough and I can surf the net. So it's like... little work...lots of net but I'd rather be at home petting my cats.

QOTD: Alcohol. Always has been, even during my biggest drug days back in my late teens and early 20s. I did coke in several forms, pill assortments, LSD and other hallucinating-state altering stuff, and even smoked and dealt pot. My favorite and fall back was always alcohol. I think it runs in my family. I have always painted the picture this way. If I had $5 left in my pocket and somebody offered me a joint or a six pack, I would always choose the six pack.

My sister's upstairs neighbors are driving me crazy. I can't wait to move back into my own place. THREE WEEKS, ugh. I need to get some of these and somehow sneak them into their apartment.

My drugs of choice are alcohol, pseudoephedrine, and diphenhydramine. Not all at once of course. Of the three, the third is the only one which I really "abuse" and even then it's more taking advantage of my weird brain wiring which allows an overdose of basic sleeping pills to cause hallucinations. (It's related to what I think is a mild form of narcolepsy.)

Oh, and caffeine, of course. (Though I've found that caffeine + 100mg diphenhydramine = bad trip.)

What the hell kind of beer is $5 for a six pack? Nothing I'd want to drink anyway.

Today is a sucky college application day.

QOTD: I'm a boring kid that's never done illegal drugs. I drink alcohol with my family at dinner, but that's it. I don't even life coffee :/ I've been offered a very generous assortment of all sorts of illegal drugs(by going to the school with the biggest drug problem in my state, and by going to a lot of shady concerts), but I can't be bothered wasting my money on them. I'd rather buy a good CD or a pretty skirt. I'm sorta boring and apathetic towards near-everything.

$6 is kind of my lower limit for six-pack price... sometimes things go on sale for less. the other day, for example, I got a sixer of St. Pauli's Girl for $5.81 or so. sometimes Red Stripe is around there, sometimes Stella Artois or Pilsner Urqel are. but that's between $5 and $6 (or more commonly $6 and $7), not sub-$5, which would be skunky.

The beer I prefer is a local microbrew (w/o a distributor). You go out to his brewery and he'll let you try anything he's currently got. He taps it right in the "fridge room". You want something else? Move the tap, lickedy split! $1 per beer and its really the best beer other than Mac & Jack's African Amber from Redmond WA (I miss it so!). Anyone wanna ship me a keg? :)

Otherwise I'm getting stuff like Blue Moon, Abita Turbo Dog, Boulevard Bully Porter (out of Kansas City), Duvel (4pk for $12 but with like 8% and the great flavor, it's worth it!), New Belgium's 2 Below (winter seasonal), or Radegast Czech beer. The only cheap or common beers I drink are Sam Adams Boston Lager or Dos Equis. I despise Budweiser, Natural, Pabst, Miller, Coors, and all the other piss people call beer. With that said, in a week and 1/2 I'll be attending a Budweiser hosted beer tasting. Basically, all the beer you can drink in 1 hour for $5. Pretty sweet!

Oh.....honey, I'm going to need a designated driver....

None. There's no drinking or drugs for Niv. I'm pretty close to (but not quite) straight edge. Sorry but that whole not taking pain medication thing is a bit ludicrous to me. I have migraines to the point of hospitalization. Not taking medication for it would be retarded. So I'm definitely not straight edge. But no alcohol (except like a wine sauce) and no recreational drugs.

I didn't care for Blackhook. This is the one from Redhook, right? I'm assuming there's only one. No, I was disappointed. One of the guys in our poker game bragged about it all week because I love the Redhook ale. I figured, yay, a porter from Redhook, nice. It had a real strong Carmel and coffee after taste, very thin for a dark beer and it shouldn't even be called a porter. Typical over exaggerated micro brew. Just my opinion of course.

Yes, it's by Redhook. I like it because it's a porter that I can actually finish a whole bottle of. Which obviously means it's not a "real" porter. But I'm not a very heavy drinker.

Saying that, it makes perfect sense that you'd like it. Thinking back to the taste, it does have a very desserty taste to it, which I could see as an after dinner beer or just to have a single beer. I'm not the single beer type, lol.

qotd: Alcohol (beer). I don't really drink much liquor anymore. And sometimes I'll smoke a cigarette when I'm drunk. I've never smoked sober. I smoked a cigar last night, but it was a really shitty cigar. Today my mouth tastes like I ate burnt popcorn. Alcohol is great though. I pretty much always take an Advil the morning after a night of heavy drinking to help battle hangovers. I also take several allergy medicines because I'm allergic to dust.

There. I just described my night and my morning in terms of intake.

Now I need to take a shower and then go to the laundromat. The laundromat is called the White Spot. I don't want to know why it's called that. One image is very gross. The other is very racist.

I got sidetracked after reading this, but wanted to talk about this more because I find myself being sarcastic and "trying" to be funny in the forum when the mood hits.
Maybe the Internet is an extension or amplification of the way a person really is. I think I'm creatively funny at times, but don't really have a place other than the forums to let it go. My wife doesn't laugh at my funny no moe. :D

Life can get to busy and you end up dropping off the face of the Internet on people that you like.

Update:
I now work for a Golf Retailer called Golfsmith as a Graphic Designer that is responsible to the design of all Proprietary Products for the company. Well almost all products. Designing what a golf club should look like isn't as easy as it sounds.

I know right? Lets just totally miss the point of the 'choice' and nit pick at the prices. Lets just say at a time when I would even consider a joint, Rolling Rock was under $5 a six pack. Heck, can you even get a joint for $5 these days? I wouldn't know.
