Congrats!

My brother's boat is also named "Django", by its previous owner. Not that I'm equating your newborn child to a boat. It just came to mind...

For those who don't know, I am listing my 10,000 favorite songs in this blog. This will take just under 30 years from start to completion. This blog can be found at Blogger, Livejournal, and Myspace for your convenience.

DAY 362
Blue Lang - "I am the President of the Sony Entertainment Corp Ltd."
From "Beautiful Lunchbox"

I AM THE PRESIDENT OF THE SONY ENTERTAINMENT
CORP LTD!
AND I DON'T LIKE THIS SONG!
SOME JERK-OFF IN CALIFORNIA
IS MAKING FUN OF ME!

PLAY THIS ONE LOUD!

I was involved in a project called "Marathon Songs". Contestants were supposed to write and record 16 songs in 16 days. I got through the first 12 days using the titles from the first Albumfight, and those songs became <a href="http://www.glenncase.com/music/glenncas ... "Greenwood Cemetery".

That left me with 4 songs to write. It occured to me that I could pay tribute to an album that Blue Lang had written in one day called <a href="http://www.glenncase.com/music/BlueLang ... "Beautiful Lunchbox". So, in the same way that Songfighters write different songs to the same title, I decided to use Blue's amusing song titles to see what I could come up with.

I have gotten many compliments on the song I wrote around this title, but the people almost always mention their favorite lyric, and that happens to be the one line that I did not write.

Get your f*^king art out of my revenue stream!

I just read the Simon Cowell book, "I don't mean to be rude, but..." and it's actually not a bad read. I agree with a lot of the things he has to say in the book.

Some would call Blue Lang the Simon Cowell of Song Fight!, and there is one striking similarity. Neither one of them is afraid to speak their mind, and tell you exactly what they think.

If you ever get a positive review from Blue Lang, you know it's genuine.

Today is Blue Lang's birthday, and you should listen to an album that he created in a day called <a href="http://www.glenncase.com/music/BlueLang ... "Beautiful Lunchbox" as a way to celebrate.

Happy Birthday, Blue. Your reputation may lead people to believe that you're a prick, and maybe you are at times, but your opinion is one that I highly respect, because you don't sugar-coat things.

Here's Blue Lang's Myspace Profile in case you want to wish him a happy birthday.

(Right click and save from this link to download the song.)

ROCK!
