I wouldn't know, I take bong rips. Plus it's been a really long time since I've bought any, like damn near a week. So I can't remember what it costs.

edit: By the way, how does this twist your nipples, Nivy? ^^^^ :P

Oh just because I'm clean and sober doesn't mean I force my view on others. I happen to enjoy the company of drunks. It's funny being the one who remembers.

I meant about my joking on the internet forum, not your choice of a clean healthy lifestyle, lol.
But yes, it is always good to have a good friend as a designated driver. Drinking and driving is one thing I never do.

Well, I'm neither proud nor ashamed to say that I enjoy me some puffage. Coffee, aspirin, and good beer, sometimes in that order. But coffee every day. I would definitely eat mushrooms if someone offered although it's been a very long time since I went all psychedelic. All things in moderation, probably learned from overdoing them all at some time or another.

I guess we all try to be funny at times but in my case, I'm just a cornball. A natural lame-o, I don't pretend to be a goof, I just am. OK. Getting bummed now. :) (kidding, at least about the bummed part or did I just do what Niveous said?)

In may case, this is just how I talk normally. I can't seem to string more than three sentences together without making a quip or using some obscure word. Forums, emails, meetings, sitting at home on the couch. I just figure I am slowly losing my mind, in a particularly zany way.

QOTD: Booze. West End Drought, Jack Daniels, Bundaberg, Red and White Wines. These are the main culprits.

This is how I feel too. I'm very weird about speaking. I always say weird things around other people. Then I say something like, "I don't know why I said that sentence." Then I do something to make people forget about what I previously said. For example, I might stand up quickly and then sit back down again.

I always try to make jokes in real life. I think it's because I find it impossible to take very much seriously. Also I too am losing my mind in a zany way.

But in conversations with several people I usually stay quiet for a while and then I'll say something when I think of something to say. I don't ever feel qualified to bogart conversations. Usually my attempts at humor are successful because I have a strange voice, and due to my underbite my mouth looks funny when I talk. When you look funny people tend to accept jokes easier.

My avatar is a puma because I want people to believe that I am actually a puma sitting at a computer typing his thoughts about music and the world. This is a very funny image to me.

Hey, welcome back, Bortwein, do us some art 'cause your art rocks.

My brother in law is visiting so I am not around much.

My only mind-altering drug at this time is alcohol, which I enjoy in moderation, particularly red wine. And beers that are good.

No drink, no drugs. I'm a clean one.

Having said that, I'll indulge in a white Russian occasionally - but only one, and my last was in March. So yeah. I've never been so much as merry and don't ever want to be. Like Niv, also, I have no problem with those that do partake - unlike him, though, I'm not so fond of being there at the time.

I generally do not try to be funny on the internet. Occasionally, when appropriate, sure, but not as a rule.

Gee, I hope I do not come across as funny.

Yeah. And when I take off my shoe and put it back on it blows their minds.

Another thing to do when you want to take everyone's mind off the conversation is to look at your watch and say something like "Oh my God. I didn't realize it was already (time)."

I always thought you were hilarious, Spud. But I imagine a lot of your post being delivered in a deadpan style, which I absolutely love.

It sounds like fodroy and I are kindred spirits.

Ha, spirits! That fits in nicely with the QOTD.

And everything turns full circle.

John Oates bringing the tablets down from the mountain! I agree 100%. Some people strive to be funny and some people are just funny. I consider myself the later not the former. (although most would consider me the former not the later, guess that is telling me something)

I just got to be me...come on everybody sing!

A symphony of crickets playing just for me...isn't that just peachy.

QTD: Well since we are being brutally honest I was a die hard junkie for 5 years. I worked for AOL during the internet boom and they didn't give courses on how to manage stock options so, "Nothing Up My Sleeve, PRESTO" bye bye early retirement - I managed myself into a speed habit that would make Keith Richards say, "Slow Down Mate" I was a real douche bag during those years and then I grew up when I came to the realization that little things had become big things and the big things had become little things. When I came to that realization I just stopped, turned off my cell phone (that was extremely liberating) and rebooted my friends list. There is a stigma that goes with that lifestyle and that's ok it is what it is and it ain't what I am anymore. (a twist on Popeye there - Popeye Doyle that is) If it comes up in conversation (I am not one of those that drops the information like it's a badge of honor so let's just keep this post between us ok?) and the person chooses to treat me differently that's their cross to bare not mine.

Ok who do I owe for this therapy?

Was this TMI?

I fucking hate pricks like that. If I've had the decency to forget something - everybody else should too. I'd let you drive me home - but there is a very good reason that alcohol blurs memories. Don't spoil the magic. Never trust a man that doesn't drink.

No offence - obviously you are a very nice bloke Niveous - I just hate being reminded of things the next morning
