Good Deals on Misc. Gear

Post by Lunkhead »

We have a thread specifically for the "Stupid Deal of the Day" at Musician's Friend, but I thought I would start a thread that's a little more general. I've been bored at work so I've been browsing around a bit and found a couple things which seemed interesting.

Battery 3 is only $99 at Musician's Friend. I've heard positive things about it, as a drum sampler, and $99 seems a bit cheaper than some similar apps.

Also, Best Buy has this 22" widescreen LCD with OK specs for $220. Extra horizontal screen real estate seems like it would be useful for viewing music projects.

I've been told that Battery isn't for programming, and that you'd need to use a separate program for arrangement of samples into patterns... just fyi

Sweetwater Sound has the Samson CO3U for $70, here:

It's a decent enough mic, and you don't need any extra equipment, it plugs right in to your USB port. I recorded all of the dB Collective vocals with it. It's a good "quick and dirty" mic to take with your laptop for a portable project studio.
Working hard to suck less.
